Highly Skeptical to Genuinely Impressed!
I was in need of a home wrestling mat for my high school wrestler and to be honest, I was highly skeptical when considering an inflatable wrestling mat and feared that it would be cheaply made or little more than a glorified air mattress. However, after receiving it I can report that my fears were happily put to rest. As soon as it was inflated and felt the surface for the first time I was utterly pleased. The mattress is firm and textured like that of a legitimate mat so that home practice translates well to tournament matches. There is a slight bounce, but to be perfectly honest, my 'dad knees' actually appreciate it while at the same time, my wrestler is fully satisfied with the mat feel. I could say that when one person is drilling, the mat will occasionally slide on a wood floor during sudden or explosive movements. However, sliding is minimal and we have never experienced this when two people are on the mat during drills or live wrestling. May have to occasionally adjust inflation for material stretching or temperature changes All in all a great and more affordable option for a home setup or if there is a temporary need to for additional mats or to have them in an unusual location.
