I have now tried half a dozen wrist/thumb braces, to deal with a persistent thumb joint issue. My hands and wrist run very small (often too small to even make it on to a sizing chart), and most braces are too large, even if just by a little. This IZWEAR wrist brace with thumb splint, which I got in size small (the smallest size available), is one of the few that fit me, despite my wrist being slightly smaller than what's listed on the product sizing chart. So this might be a good choice for others who have especially small hands and wrists. The brace itself is designed and constructed very well. It's super easy on/off, and easily adjusted via three wide but thin velcro straps for the palm area and one smaller one for the thumb. This is the first brace I've tried that has an inner fabric liner, for both palm and thumb - the liner makes it easier to get the brace on and properly situate it, and also makes the brace more comfortable against your skin. Once on, the brace provides terrific support, and is among the more comfortable relative to the support (I’ve found that in general, unsurprisingly, the most supportive braces are the least comfortable, and vice versa). There is very minimal pressure against my nerves, which is not the case with most of my other braces. The brace doesn't allow much flexibility for typing or other tasks like that, but I can type with it on, for brief periods, in a pinch (I just need to elevate my wrists while typing - not great ergonomics, so not recommended for any extended period of time unless you want to add to your injuries). I expect the brace will last a long while, especially since I only plan to wear it indoors, when at rest, sleeping, etc. The greatest wear might come from cleaning it - my brace didn't come with any care instructions, but I'm assuming it's likely surface clean only with a damp cloth - maybe hand wash the whole thing once in a while, if it really needs it (?). My brace came in a ziploc style plastic pouch, along with a small slip of paper showing you how to put on the brace. The instructions aren't great or easy to follow - in the accompanying diagrams, it's tough to differentiate the black straps from the rest of the brace, which is the same black. I had to refer to the online listing photos, which made it immediately clear how to put the brace on. Overall, I'm happy with this brace and look forward to using it more. It's currently priced at $22 if you use the on-page coupon, with the 'regular' price listed at $24; this seems like the right price range to me. Read more
This is a review of the "Wrist Brace with Thumb Splint for Carpal Tunnel, Thumb Pain Relief, Thumb Support Brace for De Quervains Tenosynovitis, Tendonitis Arthritis Thumb & Wrist Stabilizer Splint-Man &Woman". I've been using this for a few weeks now and say that it's decent quality and fit comfortable with the velcro adjustments. It does provide good support and seems pretty durable. This is something for more of a no movement at all versus some of the others where you can still move fingers more which does affect bones in the wrist. At around $20 though I consider this just an okay deal. Read more
I’ve been dealing with on‑and‑off thumb and wrist pain, especially when typing or doing chores, so I wanted to try this brace to see if it would help. After wearing it for several days, I can say it gives solid support without feeling overly stiff. The straps make it easy to adjust the fit, and once I got it where I wanted it, it stayed in place without sliding around. The thumb section keeps my thumb from bending in ways that usually trigger pain, which has been the biggest benefit for me. I could still do basic tasks like holding my phone or cooking, but it definitely limits movement enough to give the joint a break. I also liked that I could remove the splint when I wanted a little more flexibility. One thing I noticed is that it can get warm after wearing it for a long stretch, especially if I’m moving around a lot. It wasn’t uncomfortable enough to stop using it, but it’s something to keep in mind if you run warm or plan to wear it all day. This brace has helped reduce the strain on my wrist and thumb, and it’s easy enough to put on that I actually use it consistently. If you’re dealing with similar pain or recovering from overuse, it’s a helpful tool to have. Read more

I use a computer all day, and I experience some wrist pain. This is a splint or brace for immobilizing your hand and wrist in a relaxed and natural position, and it's meant to be worn while sleeping or otherwise being inactive. It is too stiff and bulky to be worn while using a computer. There are four hook-and-loop straps: three on the hand and one for the thumb. They're easy to adjust with your opposite hand, and you don't need a second person to help you put it on. There's a stiff plastic bar along the palm area, which is what keeps your wrist in the proper position. You should tighten the straps so your hand can't move, but obviously not so tight that it becomes uncomfortable. It's a simple device that solves a problem for an affordable price. For reference, I wear medium-sized stretchy medical gloves, and I have a 6.25" wrist. I ordered the small size in this device, and it fits me comfortably. Read more
I have several braces in my house since I always lend them to family members or wear them myself. I wanted one wrist brace with thumb support because I don't have any, and the joint for my thumb has been hurting lately for no good reason. I decided to try this because it looked good. This brace is well-made. It has a lot of room to adjust for size. Three velcro bands on the bottom, and one for the thumb specifically. The wrist part is perfect. I cannot bend my wrist at all, so it gives my wrist the relief it needs to be less irritated. However, the thumb is a little lacking in my opinion. It allows the thumb to bend inwards, which does nothing to stop my pain. I do like that there is a hard part, metal, I believe, that prevents me from bending my thumb backwards at all. But I think the thumb needed a little more support to provide relief from pain. Overall, this is good for someone with pain, if the thumb pain is not the main concern, in my opinion. Read more
