Wow, do we love this light in our dining room. We look at it without lights on and it almost looks even better. There are 63 hanging lines of jewell like cut glass. The bottom of the lines have a silver dollar sized round many angle cut glass which really acts like a prisom of color! There are smaller dime sized beads of glass all the way from just above the larger size to connect to the top holes spaced out on black rings at top of fixture. There is one hole in the middle with 4 other rings from small in the middle to the largest on the outside. Even the smaller dime size "jewels" throw off multi colors. When you move around past them they truly shimmer with light reflection. We stand there almost in awe that it looks SO good even without light. Of course daylight is streaming in the house for them to maintain the "look." With the light on, they glow in a different way. There is a frame w/ cut design about 8" tall that wraps around the top of the fixture. With the 6 40 watt led lights are on, it seems like the black color has a slight overcast onto the "diamonds" which also combine with the sparkle. Very nice look indeed. And if you go for the same thing in gold the "diamonds" take on a golden look. We almost got the gold one but thought black would blend better with the rest of our decor. The installation of the hanging from the ceiling was very easy. Just look at the diagram in the instructions to make sure everything including the running of the wire all gets done in order. WARNING: It says in the picture boxes on left side of page listing it that it takes E26 bulbs but elsewhere it says it takes E12 bulbs. It actually takes E12 bulbs so take note of that. WARNING #2 The picture boxes on the left also say it measures from ceiling to bottom of fixture using existing chain a total of 39.4". THIS IS WRONG! I had all the fixture put together including threading the wire through the chain up through the nipple in ceiling bar plus everything else only to find that it was WAY too low! I had to take it all apart again and let my wife decide how high/ low she wanted it. We ended up taking out 16 chain links to get the right height! That is well over 16" shorter than pics showed it was. WARNING #3 Until they improve the way the 63 varying lengths of "jewels" hang you will not believe how tedious this is to hand each of the 63 strings! It was painfully slow just to do the inner ring of only 6 strings. Each string is held by a very thin/weak double loop of wire. You have to somehow separate the loop apart to where an open end can (with difficulty) thread it into a small hole at top of fixture. The only way I could do this without making a week project of it was to just pull apart the loop enough to where it was relatively easy to thread one end into the hole. I just decided not to try and close up the loop. It is still stable and wont fall down but the loops are spread apart some. So just don't worry about closing it up tight. It speeded up the process a lot. So even though we are in love with this light I had to give it a 4 star rating mostly for the impossible way they designed the small loops on end of the 63 strings to attach at the top. I think if they even just made some open hooks to fit the holes it would speed up the process a great deal. If one happens to get unhooked when cleaning just rehook it back in the hold, simple!
