This is a winter coat that is meant to be worn in real winter environments. We are talking about lots of snow on the ground type of winter environments. I live in Southern California and there are not many locations in Southern California where it will be child or extreme enough to wear this coat during the winter. But when I travel to those locations that have the type of winter weather that this cost was made for, I will look stylish. Not only was this coat made for very could winter environments, it was also made with fashion in mind. It's overall length (comes down to just above my knee caps) and it's parcka type of hood give it a very stylish and modern look that should please even the most fashion conscious individual. The hood is removable but the faux fur around it's edge is part of its fashion charm and I doubt I will remove the hood for that reason. The jacket also has good wind resistance. The cuffs of the sleeves are adjustable and will tighten around your wrists too help keep strong winds out. There is also a flap that runs the length of the front zipper that has snaps to keep it in place. This will also keep strong winds at bay. First off, this is for wearing on the really cold days. The fabric and fluff really hold in the heat. I am 6' tall and weigh 190. I got the large and it may be a tad big on me but better a tad big than too small. The hood is crazy too big though so unless you are wearing a helmet or like the fringe all in your eyes and nose, just remove it. The coat is very long, coming all the way down to my knees. It has snaps all the way from the top to the bottom of the opening and a zipper that goes to around mid thigh. I took off a star due to my zipper is incredibly hard to get started. It is a double zipper so you can open from the top or the bottom (which is nice if it were easy to start). My wife and I messed with it for 30 minutes including giving it a shot of silicone lubricant but it is just a bear to get started. I imagine this one is defective so probably won't affect all of them. Coat has good pockets and looks stylish. I would wear it a lot if not for the bad zipper. Read more

I got this coat for my husband and I have to say it looks amazing on him! I even tried it on myself and it definitely keeps you warm. It’s very long, which is perfect for winter, also the inside is lined with a soft fur material that really helps lock in heat. One thing I really liked is that the hood is detachable. At first, my husband wasn’t totally sold on it because he’s not a big fan of the fur trim. Once we realized the hood can be removed, he completely changed his mind and ended up loving it. Being able to customize it like that was a huge plus. The coat feels thick, well made, also warm without being stiff or uncomfortable. There’s also a small inside pocket, which I thought was a really nice touch for keeping keys or a wallet secure. Its also a double zipper jacket. So you can unzip the bottom part a little if you'd like. Overall, this is a great winter coat that looks stylish also does its job keeping you warm. Definitely a solid choice for colder weather! I wanted to love this coat. Visually, it looks great, and as soon as I put it on, I was impressed by how comfortable and warm it felt. The sizing is perfect—it’s very spacious and doesn't feel restrictive at all, which is exactly what I was looking for in a winter parka. However, the hardware completely ruins it. The zipper on the lower half is an absolute nightmare. It refuses to track correctly or zip up easily—if at all. I spent ten minutes just trying to get it closed. I tried to rely on the snaps as a backup, but they are far too weak. Even though the coat is loose on me (so there’s no tension pulling them apart), the snaps pop open constantly while walking. Because I can't seal the bottom half of the coat, it defeats the entire purpose of owning a winter jacket. It’s a shame because the material is nice, but I can't use a coat that won't stay closed in the cold. Read more

My husband is always cold so even though we don’t live in an area with particularly harsh winters, I wanted to get him a very warm coat for the winter. One of my biggest problems with buying coats for him is that he is very tall and has a long torso. This long coat is perfect for him. Although it hits the model close to the knees, it hits him mid-thigh, which he loves. He normally wears a L or XL, but I sized up to an XXL for him to make sure the arms were long enough. It fits him perfectly, with enough room to wear a thick sweater or sweatshirt underneath without bagging around him like a circus tent. The fleece lining is very soft and cozy, and the puffer outer part is thin and light enough that it doesn’t look like a snowman. The double zipper is a nice touch, so he can open the bottom part enough to walk comfortably. The pockets are nice and deep, and there’s not only an inner pocket, but a zipper pocket up top that is deep enough to hold his large phone so he doesn’t have to open the coat to get to it. He loves the high neck closure and the deep hood. I’m not a huge fan of the fur around the edge of the hood because it came out of the package looking like a my long-haired cat all rumpled after a nap. But hopefully it will fluff out a bit more with time and he likes it so that’s all that really matters. At the currently listed price of $59.99, this is a good value for this coat. Read more
