Disclaimer: I have not used kinesiology tape before but have wanted to try it because, well, I'm a Senior loaded with aches/pains and with a history of pains, strains and sprains from hiking falls! Having a roll of this handy seemed like a solid plan. I watched the video on how to use it, but for a hands-on took it to my physical therapist for help applying. She not only schooled me, but added context to what I had experienced towit: it cuts easily, applies easily, and sticks well. She showed me what they use and I prefer this one! She was impressed. I'm plagued by swollen ankles and the tape is super helpful. How do I know? By how they feel and hard evidence of the indentation after the tape comes off. Also used it on my sore knee. Left it for days and it left no residue when I took it off. It survived showering without lifting up at all. Impossible to come up with anything that could improve on this tape. I'm not into sports - a bit too old at this stage of my life - but I liked the fact that the description said that it helped joints and muscles. Heaven knows I have a lot of those that ache and outright hurt, so I thought I'd give this a try. The fact that it's latex free is a bonus, as I tend to be sensitive to latex. Once on your skin, it stays in place. I've used it on my hip and knee and I see a definite improvement in pain relief. It's easy to put on (at least where I can reach - otherwise I ask my husband for help). I don't take it off when I shower and it reasonably stays in place. This tape does function. However, compared to other Kinesiologic tape it does not perform as well. The Adhesive does not withstand after one shower and starts to peel off. The thickness of the tape itself is rather thin compared to other brands and so does not provide the strength or support of others. Read more
