Got Game?—January 27, 2026
I have been using these with my Xbox Series X controllers for a few weeks now for occasional gaming. Setup was simple and the charging station works without any hassle. You do have to get used to swapping batteries instead of plugging the controller in, but once you get into a routine it is fine. Battery life is solid. I get play time comparable to regular AA batteries and about on par with other rechargeable packs I've tried. They hold a charge well and do not seem to drain while sitting on the dock. Fit in the controller is snug, no rattling, and the plastic feels decent for the price. Nothing fancy, but nothing cheap feeling either. What I like so far: long run time per charge; having two batteries ready at all times; compact charging station that does not take up much space; price feels fair for a two pack with a dock. The main downside is that these cannot be charged inside the controller. You have to remove the battery and place it in the charging station like a camera battery. That feels a bit dated now that OEM style packs exist. Overall, I would recommend these if you want good battery life and value, and you do not mind the extra step when charging. Read more

Great value for the price, 2 batteries that have good battery life. Very easy to use, easy to take out of the controller and then back into the battery pack. Read more

I think this is a pretty good value for $16! The batteries fit perfectly in my controller, and do not require a special battery door like my last ones did. They last pretty long too! I use my controller for gaming on my mac, and one charge lasted a few days of long gaming sessions. Doesn't take long to charge to 100% either, maybe a few hours if you are charging from 0-5%. Very easy to remove from the charging base, just pop them out from the opening in the back. There is also a screen on the base that shows the battery levels as it is charging. I just wish that screen showed when the batteries were done charging! Forgot I was charging these and left them on the charger for more than enough time to get to 100%, but the screen still showed the blinking 3rd battery line as if it was still charging. Read more

These rechargeable batteries for my Xbox One controllers are great. The batteries fit perfectly in my controller and I can use the battery covers that came with my controllers again. The last rechargeable batteries I got required using the special covers included in the set, so it’s nice to go back to the original ones. I have two controllers so this is perfect since it comes with two batteries, and I can always switch to the older ones if I need these to charge. The charger powers the batteries pretty quickly, and I like that it uses USB so I can plug it into my dock without taking up another wall outlet. The charging base looks good and works smoothly every time. It doesn’t take long to bring a battery up to a usable level. Everything feels straightforward and easy to manage, which makes swapping batteries when one dies really convenient. It's a good price and I’m impressed with how well they’ve been working so far. They last a good while during gameplay and don’t feel any different from my other rechargeable batteries. Pairing that with the fast recharge time and USB-powered charger makes this a solid pick for anyone who uses Xbox controllers regularly. Read more

After years of swapping disposable batteries in the kids’ Xbox controllers, we finally decided it was time to switch to rechargeables. I’ve been using an Elite Series 2, which has a built-in rechargeable battery, but since the kids play less often, we hadn’t made the jump until now. These batteries turned out to be a good choice. Out of the box, they took about 1.5 hours to fully charge, which feels reasonable. The charging base is simple to use and has a bright LCD screen that clearly displays the charge level for both bays. Just drop the batteries into place, and the screen handles the rest. There’s even an opening on the bottom that lets you push the batteries out easily, which is much better than trying to dig them out from the top. Fit-wise, they work well in both Xbox One and Series X controllers. There's no issue putting the battery cover back on once installed, and the batteries feel snug without being difficult to remove. So far, battery life has been solid, and we haven’t had to recharge yet during regular use. While these don’t come with a full charging dock like some higher-end options, those usually cost significantly more. For around $16, getting two batteries and a functional charging setup feels like a fair deal. It’s a simple, cost-effective solution that works well for our setup. Read more

This is an awesome setup and work perfectly! The batteries fit my Xbox controller perfectly and did not shake or rattle. They lasted a while too!! One battery has lasted us over a week of use and still going. We are not heavy users, but play for a couple of hours a day. The screen on the charger unit is nice and bright and indicates when the battery is fully charged. You can charge both batteries at the same time. These are so worth it rather than tearing through batteries. Read more
