From the moment you step on, you can tell this isn't a flimsy toy; the construction is solid and feels built to last. What really stands out is how well-designed it is. The traction pads provide a secure grip, allowing you to confidently practice your balance without fear of slipping. The adjustable stoppers are a thoughtful addition, allowing you to customize the difficulty and find the right level for your skill. This makes it suitable for a range of users, from beginners to those looking for a more challenging experience. The handles on each end make it incredibly easy to pick up, move, and store, which is a welcome feature. Plus, the clean, streamlined aesthetic looks great in any home. Finally, the smart sizing of the smaller board and foam roller makes it incredibly easy to tuck away when not in use. Overall, this surf trainer balance board is a fantastic piece of equipment. It's well-built, thoughtfully designed, and provides a genuinely enjoyable and effective workout. Read more

The media could not be loaded. I’ve waited to write this review so I could give it a try before giving my opinion. I’ve had it a couple of weeks and I use it multiple times per day just to have a little fun, some movement, and hopefully a little exercise. The quality is great. The board is thick enough, wide enough, and long enough to accommodate me a 5’5”, 126lb older female. While I do use it with the enclosed cork roller, I’ve also been using a thicker styrofoam roller that I got from my PT and it works great too. Since I’ve been using it, my balance has gotten better and I’m starting to use it for other exercises such as planks. I’ve added a video to show how easy it is to use. My husband and I live in a van so you can see that it doesn’t take up too much room. Read more

I am an old skateboarder, and this has provided an easy way for me to keep my balance sharp when I can't get out on my actual skateboard (which is far too often). I have even put a skateboard deck on the roller, and it works great that way too (not recommended if you are just starting out). This is a very well-made balance board, a much higher quality product than I expected. The bamboo board is quite thick - 3 plys of 1/4 inch bamboo - and VERY strong. The roller seems to be made out of an extremely durable cork material as well, and my 185 lbs has been unable to hurt it. Having the adjustable stops makes this balance board more fun than frustrating for all levels of balance. I keep it by my standing desk, where I work half the week, and use it off-and-on during the day. It definitely gives you more of a workout than you would expect - feet, calves, thighs, and core. Far better than just sitting or standing at my desk all day. The package includes a manual with a number of suggested balance exercises, which is nice. Something it does NOT show, though, is the configuration the picture I included. The stops will also attach on the sides, and you can turn the roller so you are balancing front to back rather than left to right. If you try this, even if you have great balance, definitely hold on to something at first... it feels weird. It gets easier after a while though. Having 2 different balance points is nice for switching things up... plus this configuration hits some additional muscles. Overall, I really like this balance board. It is incredibly sturdy, a lot of fun to use, and is a uniquely interesting way to get a little exercise. I will be recommending it to my friends. Read more

I ordered this balance board to add to my list of indoor workouts. It came pretty much ready out of the box save for attaching the stoppers. The first aspect that I noticed was the great quality of the wood. It’s very sturdy and durable even with two people on it. The nonslip portion covers all of the areas that my feet come into contact with and provide enough grip to not unwittingly slip off the board. The beginner setting has let me get used to the board on my hardwood floor without injury. I’m not quite at the intermediate portion yet, though. The option to change difficulties is a great feature to have so I can measure my progression. Besides myself, my six year old daughter has been getting the most use out of this board. She loves playing on it and thinks of it as a fun challenge. Overall, I highly recommend ordering this balance board. It’s an entertaining workout that takes up little space when not in use. This is a classic 'bongo board'. Bongo boards got their start as an African children's toy, and were recreated in the U.S. by a WWII veteran pilot. They became something of a craze among the skiing/surfing/beach crowd in the 60s to practice balance and do tricks on. This particular board is attractive and very sturdy. It has some nice options for setting placement of its roller underneath. It can be set for a wide path, a narrower path, or a front-back tilt. I'm a beginner so I've only tried mine on the short path... which is plenty challenging. If I had one change I'd make to the board, it would be an additional setting for an even narrower path, right in the middle... so it would just rock and not roll (hah!). The handles on either end make it easy to carry. It comes with a pamphlet of various ways to use the board in addition to just standing on it. It's an excellent bit of exercise/balance training but also fun. I'm very happy with it and may have already sold my friends on getting one. Read more

After one day of use the cork cylinder has these knicks, I’m not sure if it arrived that way or if they endured the damage on their first day! If that is the case it won’t last long at all Read more
