Best purchase I made. Went from a 3050 to this and I gotta say I could tell the difference. I run games at max settings and it handles it like a champ. I get about 100-200fps on most games. Bought two of these (The 8GB and 16GB versions) for upgrading two of my builds to replace 580s. Had to scoop this one up for gaming. It's a very significant upgrade and I am getting 60+ FPS on 2k atleast with pretty much every title I can throw at it. The extra VRAM makes a difference in the more demanding or poorly optimized games. Currently, it's about twenty bucks over MSRP on Amazon which is probably the best we'll get for a good while so it is what it is. As the internet has noted, I think it's the best option out there in this price range. The dual fan is the only one that would fit in my nearly ten year old case (with RGB CD player/writer, so basically should be in a museum) and the temps are fine. Works fine Win11 and Linux’s I use. Always went Nvidia before but Linux prefers and works easier w team red and is a cheaper 16g card vs Nvidia’s offerings. I’m not a gamer but will soon try out, and per reviews it does well enough for the $ for that. Mainly bought because of the ridiculous current greed induced ram shortages (and this is a 16g ram card) that are affecting all cpu controlled electronics. Read more
