A quality made lighter. As soon as I picked it up it was clear how well it was made just from the weight of it. Works perfectly and the company is very good with customer follow up questions. How can you beat a lifetime warranty on a jet lighter! I am still waiting for my free soft case and I registered the purchase the first day I rec'd the lighter. I'm not sure why it takes so long to send a case that they probably have in stock most of the time, but they do give notice that it will take up to several weeks. I would have preferred a lighter that opens the top with the click of the starting mechanism, but the other features outweighed the very slight inconvenience of thumbing open the top. The lighter works perfect every time, the fuel window is handy and the instructions on the proper filling, care and type of fuel should keep this lighter working better than any other I've ever had. I would hate to lose this lighter. If I did, I most definitely would purchase another Xikar lighter, perhaps a few to keep in different places so one is always handy. Read more
UPDATE: I've used this for a year now. Great priduct! While I'm not glad that I had to buy a new lighter, I'm glad that I'm not using Calibri any longer. Theyr're finicky! Great lighter at a great price with a Lifetime warranty! The only reason I didn't rate it 5 stars is that it doesn't have a fold-out cigar punch on the bottom. Read more

The finish on mine wore off pretty easily and was easily scratched. The mechanism that held the top lid shut broke and now it just flops all over the place when I am trying to use it. The three jets made it easy to light a cigar, while they were working. Unfortunately, the jets stopped working after about 8 months. I took it to the cigar shop I bought it from, they adjusted the jets and were able to get two of the tree working again. About 6 months later the last two jets stopped working again. I consider my usage light because I used it once or twice a day after work to light a pipe or a cigar and did not carry it all day, so I feel like it did not hold up as well as it should have. very unhappy with this purchase. i spent more to hopefully get a lighter that would last for some time but it failed after 2 weeks. even purchased the Vikar fuel and bled the air as usual. it's now in the trash and i'll never buy another of this type in the future. Read more
