Updated rating to a 5 after wearing these great books on an Alaskan fishing trip. They were water-tight and cleaned up easily. These are well made and mostly comfortable. They are easy to pull on and look cute. I have an average calf size and these boots are a bit snug, but can be folded down. The same brand that looks the same, but in a different color and more expensive has a larger calf measurement. Expected to have standard sizing for this brand. They do not come in half sizes. I found this color on sale for $60 and couldn’t pass it up. These boots are heavy-duty, well-made, and very comfortable. Since my feet are wider at the front, I sized up. They’re a bit loose at the heel, but a thicker pair of socks fixes that easily. Overall, I’m very happy with these boots. Read more
This is my second pair after wearing the heels down on the first pair that I bought 15 years ago. These boots are fantastic and they are so comfortable. I use them for gardening, yard work and outside in the snow. They are very warm and have great traction in the winter. I love these boots! They are very comfortable for all day wear. Wear up to knee or folded down revealing the cute pattern inside. Slip resistant on the slippery rocks in Valdez when fishing. I have two pair of rain boots and prefer my Xtra tuff for comfort and quality. Highly recommend. Read more
I bought these boots to traipse around in the mud and rain with my dog during our frequent Washington rains and I am soooo excited. I just got my boots yesterday, I wear a size 11 and they fit perfectly (true to size.) I'll be able to wear a thicker pair of socks without my feet feeling completely squished, but it might be a smidge snug if you're planning on wearing super thick socks--not sure yet. The top of the boot is tight to the calf (hence the 4 stars), especially if you tuck your pants in so they don't get wet. (I have softball calves.) However, since these are fishing boots, I imagine that it makes sense that that calves are tighter so water doesn't come in from the top if you're wearing waders??? It's not uncomfortably- cut off your circulation tight, but it does make the ankle area feel pretty loose when the calf is so securely snug in place. (I have issues with tight fitting items so I'll update later if it becomes an issue.) Not sure if that was the intent with the design or if they just have smaller calves. If not, I'd like to make a suggestion to the company that they increase the circumference of the top of the boot by just a few cm--then they'd be perfect. The boots are soft and flexible, there is a nice little bit of cushion in the sole, not like other brands/types of rain boots. These feel like they are made to last. Since I've gone through 5 pair of rain boots in 6 years, I'm really looking for longevity and comfort. I'll update after a few months or so. **Their packaging specifically (and the boots, a little) do have a rubber smell so if you're sensitive to chemical scents, toss the box and wrapping fast and let the boots off gas for a day outside, in the sun if possible. I have MCS and once I got rid of the box and plastic it came in, I was fine. The boots are sitting inside by the door and the smell has not bothered me. Read more
Very comfortable, and basically true to size. I am a 7.5-8, and I ordered the 8 and 9 to try them, as some folks have said they can be a bit small. . It fits well, the 9 was way too big. I have athletic calves, and was worried they would be tight, but no problem! Read more
