I carry this bag to work with arts and crafts supplies in it, and the small waterproof bag that comes with it is used for my paint/resin materials. It can hold a LOT and a lot of weight as well. This really is a nice quality bag and perfect for the beach or pool. The bag has plenty of room for towels, sunscreen, water, your phone, whatever. It also included a decent sized waterproof bag (includes some buckles for attaching to the main bag). Perfect for keeping your phone dry or for your wet trunks on the way home!. There are 3 decent sized pockets on the outside front of the bag, 3 similar pockets on the inside of the bag on the back wall. The pockets are large...a couple of water bottles, maybe a pair of flip flops. There's also a mid sized zippered pouch in the interior for things like your car keys, your phone, wallets, etc. The primary bag is made of a nice nylon mesh material that will allow the sand to fall out, and wet items to dry. It's really quite big...this if far bigger than your typical grocery store tote. I put four large bath towels in as a test, and the bag was nowhere near full. The handles and seams are a nice orangish brown cotton and feel plenty string. There are two included carabiners for attaching items to the front of the bag attachment points (hook on some of those bulky sand toys you don't want to put into the bag).
