Looks nice and shiny, but threads aren’t compatible with my Iowa Y34 hydrant. I’ll either recut the threads or throw it away. I should have known better. Read more
Get two people to change out kit for the first time.
Been a minute since I purchased this, but I installed it about two months ago and it's not leaking at all. We use the hydrant all the time, so pretty good materials. Good value for the money. I will be purchasing again. It takes a little effort to install, but that depends on how long it's been since you took the hydrant handle assembly off of the water pipe. Read more
Make sure you get the right plunger for your Woodford hydrant.
The plunger had the wrong threads. You need to make sure you have the right model number of your Y34 Woodford hydrant. Mine was #106D which it says on the handle right before it screws on the pipe. The correct part number for the Y34 Hydrant plunger is 10105. I had to buy the plunger separately and it fit. The threads on mine were 16.5 x 1.4 MM. Read more

Nothing fit/parts not machined correctly
Found out too late to return item. None of the parts fit as they should. The parts were not machined correctly. The washer was too big and the main baffle part that I needed would not thread on because it was not machined properly. I had to have my water shut off by the city and then I spent another four hours trying to get this kit to work only to have to put the old parts back in and wait for the city to turn on my water again with no fix. Why are companies allowed to continue to sell items like this without being quality checked. Thanks for screwing up my day! Read more
