The table is of excellent quality. The finish is particularly fine and very smooth even on the edges and corners. We were able to put the table together in about 45 minutes, and the directions were good - but you had to slow down and think things through because the pictures were a little small. The main thing to keep in mind is the slot in the hardware that looks like a barrel with a hole in it horizontal so it can receive the screwI particularly liked that they provided extra hardware (I guess that’s in case a screw or other piece of hardware is dropped and you can’t find it). I also liked that the table was heavy/sturdy and could safely bear the weight of what was put in it. (check specifications, I don’t think it could serve as a true bookcase filled with books, but then again maybe it would be fine. I grabbed this console table hoping it’d just be a decent place for keys, books, and a few decorations, but it turned out to be way better than I expected. While putting it together, it got tested out by our two kids who also helped put it together and even with them helping, we were not missing any parts. From the moment we got done setting it up, I could tell it was made pretty well. It feels sturdy, not at all flimsy, and seems like it’ll last a long time. The size and shape and color are perfect for my hallway because it is not too bulky, yet still offers enough surface space. I’ve got a few decorations, a calendar and some other items on it and it hasn’t wobbled or sagged at all. The storage shelves are quite functional while being just the right size for shoes, books, baskets, or other miscellaneous stuff that tends to clutter up life.
