Yakima product is excellent, but shipper sent dented product, offered discount upon complaint.
Yakima is an excellent product. This review is more about the reseller that I purchased the EXO SwingArm and EXO GearBox from. So I would have preferred to know in advance that I was buying product from the reseller's "dent" sale before purchasing. Upon complaint, they did not seem surprised and immediately offered a discount of $300. Disappointing as I would have preferred to have known in advance they were going to send out damaged product. I went to a local Yakima dealer to ensure the EXO Swing Arm was not compromised from a safety or performance standpoint (local dealer could not/would not exchange it, understandably), and decided to keep it, but the experience has left me with a bad taste in my mouth. The locking mechanism on the EXO GearBox was faulty, but I was able to buy a replacement lock at the the local dealer. Read more
