Just bought these before the ice storm we had here in NC. Worked great and even has done well in the snow storm. I wear a size 12 boot and the large is a perfect fit. Great traction in winter weather. So far the durability has been holding up to what I’ve been putting them through. Read more
Just hiked 60 percent incline over 0.2 mile Maine granite boulder Goat Trail up Norumbega Mountain today on a 4 mile Maine winter hike. Four to 10 inches of snow atop layers of flow ice and temperatures rising from freezing up to our 35-40 degrees air temp hiking day. So, warming wet snow with snow on tree boughs overheat dripping on us and on the trails. No slip. No slide. No problem. On wet rocks and roots. On rough Acadia National Park pink granite boulders and sloped slabs. Rubber did not displace on my boots. Little of the snow under boot stuck to impair the grip in these conditions. Straight up powdery snow atop ice or lake or pond ice or flow ice across trails can be successfully traversed. I have four varieties of YakTrak and each serves in our winter walking/hiking. The large size fits my hiking shoes size (male 10) well. It works great walking on icy trail but fluffy snow can get stuck within the spikes. Overall, it is a great product. Read more
