This looks and feels like a quality backpack! I was looking for a backpack for my 17" computer, folders and papers and this backpack is perfect. I was lucky to find "used" for a great deal. The backpack has a computer compartment with an elastic strap to secure the computer, the back and straps are well padded and there are many pockets and compartments perfect for organizing. The zipper down the middle is also very thoughtful as many backpacks like this don't open up and it does become hard to organize and even put your basic things inside. while there are no bottle holders on the outside, there is a pocket for that inside which gives the backpack a very clean minimal look on the outside. Pros: Strong stitching on the straps makes me confident they won't break easily under the weight of textbooks and my ancient laptop. Straps are padded well so my back isnt breaking under the weight. It is weatherproofed well, a major plus when walking between classes. Lots of internal pockets for organization. I love the secret back pocket for a wallet or charging the phone. Con: Only weird thing is having the bottle holders in the backpack. Most of the time it's not an issue with spacing but if you're carrying extra stuff it can make removing and replacing the bottle difficult. Also when those pockets are empty, you have to cover the opening when you place binders and stuff in there sometimes, but with the way the backpack unzips that's not too difficult or annoying. This backpack was great for my first trip to DR, I mainly wanted it for the purpose of there being an external port to charge your phone and to strap onto my suitcase to make moving around the airport easier. Unfortunately, after this trip the Velcro stopped working and would not stay closed around my suitcase handle. It kept falling off of my suitcase because the Velcro would come undone and I only used this backpack on one trip! Not sure what happened with the durability of the Velcro but in my opinion it was a waste of money since this was a key feature I wanted to utilize. Otherwise the backpack itself does the job and fits a lot of stuff, just be aware if you stuff it to the top you will have trouble closing the flap over it and fitting it under a seat on the plane.
