Based on past Amazon clothing purchases, I usually buy one size up and non-formfitting items to avoid disappointment. This arrived and fit fine. I wanted a lightweight piece I could travel with to wear as a coverup in a chilly room, say with air conditioning or at night outdoors. This piece fits the bill. I was not sure I would like the length, but it is good as it sits just right without clinging to my lower body. I didn't notice it before I washed the sweater, but now I see a light pattern overlaying the sweater. At first I thought it was a discoloration, but now it seems to be almost like a random leaf overlay. I machine washed the sweater in a laundry protection bag. Directions say not to put in the dryer, but after 2 full days hanging in the laundry room, the sleeves are still damp. This would not be good if I were traveling and had to wash it. I think I am going to try doing some short drying time in my dryer. I know many times clothing from China states not to put in the dryer and items actually do fine in the dryer. This high-front cardigan was actually pretty cute, made of solid material, and was the bright white color promised. My only reservation—and the reason for removing one star—was the general width and how it seemed to widen me out a bit. However, I’m sure that won't be everyone’s experience; every body type is different. ​Right out of the package, I was happy to see that it was exactly as promised in terms of materials. It has a soft, cottony feel and a good bit of stretch without just "hanging" there, and the adorable little tie is sturdy. ​I feel as though my personal issue might just be a common trait of sweaters in this style. I can’t be sure, but something about the way it ties in the front—at least on this specific one—made the bottom flare out, creating an almost boxy form. This was unfortunate because, other than that, I really liked it. ​Unfortunate fit aside, this could possibly be styled correctly for the right person. By "right person," I just mean whoever feels it flatters them, as all body types are wonderful and it’s about what makes you feel good. This didn't necessarily do a lot for my particular shape, but I know someone out there will appreciate it because the quality is truly high. ​I felt it necessary to issue a warning to those with a high waist or an apple shape. I am an hourglass with a high waist, and where the sweater flared out is exactly where my natural waist is, so I appeared less curvy than I typically feel.
