I enjoy using these. They are perfect for my daily workout and for using while watching tv. They are good quality and easy to hold and use. The chrome design is non-slip and when I'm using them I don't feel any slippage. My palms don't really sweat so I don't know what that would be like for someone with sweaty palms, but I would fix that with workout gloves. This 5lb is the perfect size and weight for me and comfortable to use. The somewhat rubber odor when you just unbox them is normal, I feel, based on the material they are made of.
