I recently got Rocksmith for a really great discount on Steam, and figured I could just use any cord to play it. Got this one and was very disappointed to find that Rocksmith is made to only recognize its own cable, which you can only buy now-a-days for $30-40 which completely defeats the purpose of the discount. (obviously not this product's fault) I did a little searching and found a youtube video that explains very simply (less than 5 minutes) how to get the patch you need, and use it to play. Simple as that. I've never tried to post a video link in an Amazon review before, so I'm not sure if they will allow it. Just know I went to youtube and searched "rocksmith no cable patch" and the fist video that popped up was by "c dub" titled "100% WORKS NO REALTONE CABLE 2020". Great cable, there is an identical one on here that is like $20 cheaper. Packaging, contents, and specs are exactly the same. Got both on accident and compared them! This is a great cord and works flawlessly with rocksmith if that's what your after. Both cords do show up as a real tone cable and sound fantastic! Read more

I literally got a few good uses out of it. Worked great, for awhile. Then after putting it away for the night and come back to it the next morning, all of a sudden Rocksmith on my PS5 was not reading my guitar being connected. So I switched to my PS4, same thing. Uninstalled and reinstalled, same problem. After troubleshooting through trial and error, came to the conclusion that it had to be the cable. Doing a little more research, come to find that it is common that these stop working all of a sudden. Something inside the USB part usually goes bad. So, spent the extra eddies and got the official Rocksmith cable, no problems since. This is not worth the price it is, not very well made. Read more

Got this for rock Smith, it works plug and play unfortunately the game doesn't pick my guitar up well, it could be a multitude of reasons and i haven't bothered to check. But for all intents and purposes this works as intended and i don't think the cable is the problem. Read more

As soon as I got it I plugged it in and tried it with my 4 string Ibanez and it worked. I've never had the actual Real Tone Cable that comes with Rocksmith. So it's doing great to my knowledge. I played for a bit trying to learn how to setup Rocksmith to where I like it. I'm a vocalist who's trying to learn all the instruments all round so hoping this will help. Did not work, tried on an electric guitar and also on a electroacoustic guitar none of them worked, only got an extremely faint and noisy output. The seller contacted me and gave full refund, so I may try again in the future. Really fast response. Read more

I got this to be able to play rocksmith on my PC and it functions perfectly for that. The sound is clean through the speakers/headphones. Super easy to use(plug and play) and it seemed was compatible in every way. I’m unsure how it works with other programs - but it did the job I needed:) Read more
