This isn't really a massager, per se, as all it does is gently tickle your head when pulling up and down on it throughout your scalp. But it does feel really, really good. It's like a gentle rub, really, one that if you are very sensitive to having your neck or scalp lightly touched (or even kissed?) this will feel great. All of us used this yesterday when it arrived, and it was super pleasant to us all (two adults, one 9 year old girl, one 15 year old boy). Don't get me wrong, when I say it feels good it's not in a sensual manner. More like when you just sit and tickle your arm, or gently tickle your kids arm to sooth them. That's the feeling I'm talking about. It is very soothing. The back scratcher is a bit different though. Sure, it works, and it extends very far for super tall people. However it is kind of cumbersome to use. The handle round so it spins in your hand while you are trying to use. Since you are using it on your back you can only go by feel. Maybe after using it multiple times I'll get the hang of how to hold it without it spinning and then having to bring it back around to get a new grip. Plus, there is no real grip. The massager feels amazing. It gives a light pressure running across the scalp that sets the nerve endings dancing—don’t be surprised if you shiver and get goosebumps! The tips are little black plastic-y knobs so there is no issue of accidentally scratching yourself with the ends. The tips are pointed inward, so at first it can be a little awkward to get it to open enough to curl around the head—I find it easiest to come from the direction of the back of the head and move towards the front. The back scratcher seems fine—I haven’t used it much though since the scalp massager was the main reason why I ordered this. And for me also very nostalgic during the holiday times I would go to my grandmother’s house and she always had one of these sitting in her living room and it was always a race which one of my siblings or I could get to it first, so this scalp massager brought back happy and positive memories from my childhood. My oh my this head massager is delightful. Really a nice comforting feeling even on a bald head. Can easily put me to sleep. I'm also liking the back scratcher quite a bit, it's working perfect for those hard to reach areas and for sure beats using kitchen utensils! Do yourself a favor and give this a try.
