I bought these shoes to wear at to a work conference. I needed to wear work attire, but I also wanted to be stylish and comfortable. I typically wear an 8B. On the advice of other reviewers, I purchased an 8.5 and they fit perfectly. I did end up adding a thin arch support to them because they have a slightly high vamp and I wanted a bit more support. As usual, I was on the fence about sizing since reviews seemed to be varied on this shoe. I am typically an 8 in heels, 8.6 5 in sneakers, with a wide-ish foot. I can comfortably wear both medium and wide widths. Since this shoe doesn't come in 8.5, in black, I sized up a full size to a 9. While there is a little extra room (maybe 1/2 inch, max) at the tip of the shoe, it's nothing that really affects the fit because the shoe has a narrow rounded toe and my foot can't reach the area with the extra room. I've worn them all day today and they're extremely comfortable. The extra room didn't create any issues for me. Also, the laces stayed tied all day!!! I'd definitely size up at least a half size, but as I indicated, you could also do a full size and probably be fine. You can always stuff the extra space with cotton balls, for a more secure fit. I’ve always loved the wingtips on the lawyers I worked with and hoped designers would get “with it” and come up with a style for women. Yes, I know they’ve had them for years, however gals let’s be honest they looked rather cheesy, don’t you think! FINALLY I FOUND THESE BEAUTIFUL WELL MADE LADIES WT OH SO COMFY SHOES! They have a little extra style and comfort with the platform soles. DONT BE AFRAID the extra height is not too high nor dangerous. I am in my 60’s now, have had hip replacements and must wear comfortable, easy to walk in shoes. I’ve just ordered the beige and easy on the eyes shade of pink. Go get I’m Gals you’ll love em!!! These are amazing loafers and look and fit as expected. The back of the heel is a bit stiff and so you should wear them around the house the first couple of times (or take a backup pair of shoes when you wear them the first time) to help stretch them out. I wore them to work the first time and came back with blisters on my heels--ouch. But they softened up and I absolutely love these. Read more

Very stiff and narrow the shoe is absolutely rigid and unyielding. I’m very disappointed and will be returning. It is pretty and if I only had to wear it for 15 or 20 minutes or for a special event, I probably would. I don’t know if these could be broken in or not but right now I feel like they would cut into my feet. I didn’t even try them on. They are extremely stiff, heavy and awkward. They also look cheesier in person than they did in the pictures online, meaning sort of overly bright, shiny and fake looking.
