These stunning shorts by Yoga Crow are truly impressive... I have been a sportswear designer for over twenty years and these are some of the most beautifully designed shorts I have ever tried, seriously. The design details are what makes these shorts so incredibly comfortable, durable and built to last. I really enjoy the notched scallop hem at the side seam and leg opening, as this detail allows the short to fit comfortably while practicing yoga and doesn't bind or restrict my practice. The side seam pockets feature a smooth nylon coil zipper that keeps my belongings secure as I walk from my truck to the yoga studio. The perforated lycra liner fits beautifully, allows for wonderful breathability during hot yoga and humid days. The interior liner also fits very well, keeping all body parts in secure, private and in place. The perforated panel across the backside also allows for ventilation and comfort, in and out of the water. The sustainable and recycled polyester 4-way stretch exterior short features a water repellent coating which allows for a quick dry time and reduces any discomfort during extended yoga practices. The outseam is the perfect length, at mid thigh these are not too short or too long, allowing for great style meets function. The super soft exterior waistband features a smooth drawcord with silicone tips and adjustability to remain comfortable and secure at all times. With Lululemon’s product line constantly changing, I’ve had difficulty restocking on the pieces I love (especially since they been doing less shorts with liners!). In my search for a comparable replacement, I found Yoga Crow through a review by Yoga Journal. After some poking around, I learned that they are made by the same company that does Crow Collective. Which I LOVE. They make the most comfortable pants I own (seriously). Anyways.. THE YOGA CROW SHORTS I’m in the gym ~5 days a week. I prefer, and purchased, the 5” inseam (I’m 5’ 8”, 145lbs) — they’re a perfect fit. The liner feels good, not too tight, and plenty of flex. The outer material moves easily with my body — even when I’m getting extra twisty on the mat. I’ve been wearing them (already ordered more!) for hot yoga, pilates, running, and HIIT style workouts. I’ve been looking for new workout and yoga shorts and stumbled across the Yoga Crow brand on Amazon. I typically don’t like to buy clothes online because I like to touch and feel the fabric and try things on at a store. Sometimes online product descriptions and reviews are hard to interpret since reviews are always so subjective, but after looking at several brands and price points, I decided to give these a try and I have no regrets. I usually wear a size small (30” waist), but sometimes they run smaller than one would expect. The size is a true fit for me. I ordered a small and a medium to try them on for size and the small fit perfectly. I love the material; it’s llightweight, but not cheap and flimsy. The liner is quite comfortable—supportive, but not restrictive—and not so long in length that it makes me feel hot or where they ride up your legs. The overall length of the shorts is also just right (about mid-thigh for me—in pants, I wear a 30” length if this gives any perspective for length). I love that I t has a modern fit; not too long and not too baggy. I ordered a couple more pairs after trying these on. They’re my go to gym and yoga shorts. I saw someone wearing them in a hot yoga class and I really liked they way they looked so I asked the person which brand they were and bought a pair. I must say they are really great for Hot Yoga! Can’t believe how dry and cool they keep me! The inner liner is nice and supportive - allows me to get into any position without flashing my junk to the world... Also they are super comfy/flexible so I’ve been wearing them to workout in gym , run, chillout etc I followed the sizing instructions and took my actual waist measurement and then selected the size on the chart accordingly which was my size. This at first concerned me because I usually wear a medium in most brands but according to the size chart I was a large and I must say they fit great - I think had I ordered a medium they would have been too tight on me so was definitely worth taking my actual waist measurement and following the size chart instead of just getting the size I normally wear!! I bought one pair for yoga, and just ordered 2 more for other activities. Just a Great all around athletic short. Material, comfort and look is great. I rarely leave reviews for anything, but these shorts deserve a special mention. I have a twice-daily yoga practice, and I use these for everything. Sometimes hot, sometimes not, sometimes fast, sometimes slow. They're perfect for all of it. Quality is outstanding, and super, super comfortable. I am 6' and around 165-170lbs, and I purchased the mediums. They are a *touch* tight in the thighs and ride up there just a little during my practice, but I have...pretty meaty thighs, so that's on me. Definitely not a knock on the product.
