My current strap was fairly weak, and wearing down. I ordered this because I liked the idea of a stretching strap and a mat strap combined. Out of the box, I had to work the strap to get a tight enough fit that holds the mat while carrying. It slipped free a couple times. However, I washed it, which helped a bit, and I'm getting the feel for how to pull the the loops tight. I think with a few more washes it will soften and break in to make the tightening easier. I wasn't sure how the loops would work as for stretching. Since they are designed to pull the loops tight, would they tighten on the foot or hand, whatever might be holding the loop? Yes they do tighten up, but not restrictive or uncomfortably so. So, I will definitely continue to use as stretching strap as well as a carry strap. Held back a star for the price. Maybe inflation is contributing, but many stretch and mat straps are less than half this price. it's definitely useful for both, but you seem to be paying for the combination, so do some comparison shopping to see if others are available. There is not much to say about this other than it is exaclty what I expected and works as it should! It is very quick to wrap around your mat at the end of class and carry your mat out. Also works well to assist in stretching which overall aids in pain relief, expecially on tight muscles! The material is nice because it is thick and sturdy but soft.
