As someone who regularly exercises at home on days when I can't make it to the gym, I use exercise mats on a regular basis. I was looking to upgrade my thin, slightly worn out yoga mat, so when I saw this extra large mat, I was eager to give it a try. It did not disappoint! The first thing I noticed upon opening up this yoga mat was the large size. I knew it was listed as oversized, but hadn't paid much attention to the specifics...but I'm impressed. (Photo shows my 10lb cat on the mat, to give a size comparison.) The large size provides ample room for me to do all my weight, stretching and yoga moves, completely on the mat. Being someone who with "regular" sized mats had a tendency to inadvertently slide around and end up off the mat, I really like the extra space, which allows me to move around without ending up on the hard floor. I also appreciate the thickness of the mat. This is about twice as thick as my previous mat, and the difference is huge. It feels thick and well made, and I finally feel like my hips are well supported and not hurting during side-lying exercises with this mat...it's very comfortable to exercise on. The mat has good stability and grips my hardwood floors well without slipping and sliding around. In spite of its large size, the mat rolls up compactly and stays secured and rolled up with the included strap. Overall, I'm really pleased with this exercist mat, from quality, size and comfort standpoints--it's a very noticeable upgrade from standard sized mats. At the currrent price of around $66, it's not the least expensive option out there, but for my I still find it to be a good value for the money due to its high quality. Read more
I ordered this yoga mat because I am really committed to getting back into shape, but I knew my old mat just was not cutting it anymore. I was honestly hesitant at first because of the price, but I am so glad I decided to take the chance on this one. This mat is excellent quality. It is noticeably thicker than standard mats, and the extra padding makes a huge difference on my knees, wrists, and joints during workouts. I also love how large it is. I have plenty of room to move without constantly adjusting or stepping off the mat, which makes workouts feel much smoother and more enjoyable. The grip is great on both sides. It stays put on the floor even when things get sweaty, and I feel stable and supported throughout my workout. The material feels sturdy but still comfortable, and it does not have any strong chemical smell right out of the package. The carry straps are a really nice bonus and make it easy to roll up and store or take with me if I need to. Overall, this mat has completely changed how comfortable my workouts feel. I will never go back to buying cheap, thin yoga mats again. This one is absolutely worth it. Read more
I’ve tried quite a few mats, but the thickness of this 10mm version really stands out. It provides fantastic support for joints, especially during high-impact movements or long floor sessions, making my workouts much more comfortable. The softness of the foam is significant, yet it’s firm enough that you don't feel like you're sinking straight through to the floor. The quality of the material feels durable and has a nice "anti-tear" finish that seems like it will hold up well over time. One thing I always worry about with new foam mats is a strong chemical smell, but I was happy to find that this one had very little odor right out of the wrap. The non-slip texture works exactly as it should, keeping the mat stable even on hardwood floors. Considering the comfort level and the included carrying strap, it’s excellent value for money for anyone looking to upgrade their home gym setup. Read more
Properly thick, sturdy, and comfortable even when using it directly on my wood floor. I love how it's larger than the average yoga mat and it makes it comfortable to do varied active stretches. Love the green color too its super cute. I really appreciated that it came with a strap to hold it together when its rolled up. Read more
The width of the mat is fantastic. I am replacing a really old mat and this one is significantly more firm but I don’t find it hard. Unfortunately I received a mat that someone must have returned because it has some oily looking spots on it right out of the package. I really like the mat my two cons are that it is much more slippery than my old mat causing me to need grippy gloves and socks. The biggest con though is that the mat smells strongly of mildew. I may try to clean with vinegar or return it. Read more
Considering olive green is the trendy new color this year, I now own a trendy looking mammoth yoga mat. I love the huge size as I tend to sprawl when doing yoga. It’s a nice thickness though I’ve owned thicker and more luxurious feeling ones before—but never this size. The extra thickness truly makes for less pressure on the joints. It was nice to not be required to offgas it since it had no foul odor upon delivery. The edges were wound a bit tight so it took a few days to unfurl the one edge. I’ll use this at home rather than taking it to the studio since it’s so large. The price is a bit too much for my comfort but if price isn’t a huge concern then I’d say this is what you’ve been looking for. Pic shows yellow but it’s not yellow. Read more
