I go to the beach frequently and needed a beach cover-up. I ordered this Yonique swimsuit cover-up shirt and like it more than I expected. Normally, I don’t like stripes, but the white-and-beige combo I chose looks nicely balanced and fresh. The coverage is exactly as shown in the photos, and for me it’s just right: loose enough to be comfortable without looking like a sack of potatoes. The shape and design are actually quite flattering. I wear it not only as a beach cover-up, but also as a regular shirt. The long shirt style is apparently in right now, and this one works perfectly for that trend, too. I went with a size medium, and it fits perfectly for me (5’4” and 150 lbs). It’s a very comfortable fit. I like that I can wear it in different ways. It’s just thick enough to warm you up after toweling off, while allowing you to keep cool later on. I’d suggest ordering a size larger than you’d usually wear, because it does seem to fit like a regular form-fitted shirt. It is hand washable in cool water, but a quick swish in the sink should do the job. If you swim in a pool, any fading from chlorine will not be as noticeable, in my opinion as the color is muted anyway. I have the blue one, but there are also versions in yellow, grey, and green. The media could not be loaded. More than a swimsuit cover up. This coverup is longer than a shirt. Its design is modest. It’s a striped button up shirt that is versatile. It’s made well. I have used this quite often and it still looks like new. All the hems are finished, no raw or unfinished edges. All hems are stitched evenly. I have used this as a cover up after my indoor pool aerobics. It does a great job as a swim cover up. The after chill is gone when I put this over my wet suit. It does absorb water, but air dries fast. This shirt runs true to size. For me at 5’4 , this size falls just at my knees. The blue stripes are vibrant. Washing in cold water does not fade them. I usually dry this by air. I have used a dryer on the casual setting. It dries well with minimal shrinkage. The fabric is soft and remains soft after washing and drying. It’s a simple style. I have worn it with a sash or chain belt. That dresses up an otherwise casual shirt. I have worn this button up, swim cover up/shirt with jeans. It styles as a tunic. I have also worn this with a skirt and dressier pants. Another use for this cover up is a night shirt. It makes a perfect night shirt. This shirt has so many possibilities. It’s so comfortable. I live in Florida where it’s ridiculously hot during the summer so we end up swimming a lot. A good coverup is essential as you spend a lot of time in your bathing suit and often may need to still look decent at a bbq or picnic or if you need to run an errand. This is a nice coverup that doesn’t scream “cover up”. It looks like a tailored summer dress. I actually thought about belting it and wearing it out as a dress. It’s really pretty. It fits well and is comfortable. I don’t really enjoy a bathing suit so this kind of elevates the experience so that I feel a little more styled and less awkward in my suit.
