The best walking poles for safety and rehab with outstanding customer service.
I can highly recommend these poles and this company! I bought my poles before they had all the choices for a larger hand grip and wrist straps (some of the negative reviews I have seen). As a bilateral amputee with prosthetic legs the poles are extremely helpful maintaining my balance and the Motivator grip really helps maintain my control. Learning to walk with my prosthetics has been a slow process - first walking with a rollator and then graduating to these walking poles. I started with some recommended nordic walking poles but found the grip on the York poles to be superior for controlling where I place the poles and catching myself it I get out of balance. The poles have encouraged me to walk more erect than I could be with the rollator. However, I am most impressed with the customer service. As I was deciding what poles to buy, I talked through the issues with customer support and made the best I choice with their product line at the time. However, I emailed and asked last Saturday about whether I could get larger Motivator grips. I got a response from Lauren DeLong, the company founder, within an hour and she offered to swap for the newer poles with a larger grip and extra length for my height.
