We have a 4yo and a baby and don't do a lot of screen time but still want to give our boys something to watch movies together as they grow up, so we started getting back into DVDs. What a time to be alive as DVDs are so cheap now! I got these players so that we could use them at home to hook up to the TV, or play on the go when we go on vacation and long road trips. They work fantastic. Buttons are very simple, clicky, and intuitive. The screen brightness is pretty good for next to a window, as I showed in one picture. The audio is decent. It's not the best but I think if we're using these on the go, we're likely using headphones anyways. The speakers do work fine though. We haven't used these in our minivan yet but I just briefly tested the mount and it is super easy and intuitive. The manual is actually nice and helpful and even has color photos. A lot of no name items I've bought on Amazon don't even come with a manual, so I think that says a lot about this company. Overall, it's definitely worth the $90 for TWO players. All the sync options will be fun when we do our first road trip with them. Side note: I did try a Blu-ray disc for fun and just confirming here that those don't work on this. Read more
Just finished a cross country tour with these. It was nice to allow the kids to watch what that wanted to individually. You can screen share but will not be able to share audio when screen sharing. A simple fix we used was an audio splitter. I do wish the adjuster that holds the screen was sturdier; my 3 year old kicked his feet up and broke some plastic teeth that hold screen up. Another wish I have is a way for the screens to not bounce around so much. With the detachable arm that holds these to headrest the screens bounce with road vibrations. just turned it on a bit ago, first dvd froze but i checked it and it was a old one and dirty, playing a new dvd now, i had to buy a replacement because my other brand had that polymer battery and i didnt knew anything about them, well the battery swelled up and pushed the back panel out,, im hoping this has the normal type because i didnt see the word polymer in the description,, seems well made and hoping it will last a while,,,, would buy again Read more
When I first started using it, everything was fine. Great Picture, Sounds, Battery . . . but it didn't last 4 months before it started giving me trouble reading discs, and now it doesn't even recognize the disc it was "trying" to play an hour before. And on top of that, it's MP4 abilities . . . it doesn't even have a full array of codecs needed to play the files I loaded onto my jump-drive--all of which play perfectly on my DVD-Player for the big screen. Clearly a mass produced model with cheep materials meant to ware out fast and force repairs and replacements . . . this is what happens when you don't have somebody setting standards for quality and enforcing them with "Patton Level" resolve . . . I was very surprised that this product I read it and I read the reviews and they said it was good but it's not that great. It's good enough for my granddaughter as we travel to different places the sound go down or it starts skipping the disc it's supposed to be brand new. I believe I got a used product, not a brand new product, but it was wrapped up as if it was brand new when I read it. It was brand new, but I believe it was used. Read more
The media could not be loaded. I didn’t have anything that could play DVDs and I used to love these as a kid so I bought one. This one is actually pretty inexpensive and the video was better than I expected, no complaints. The sound can get pretty loud, but if loud noises happen it can sound shaky. Recently a storm knocked my power out, so I decided to pull this out after not using it for a while and it was still fully charged. It kept me entertained for 2 movies without dying until the power was restored. Definitely think this was worth buying Read more
