I love the Young Goose serum and hyperbaric mask, so even though I have quite the cleanser collection, I had to try this one. And let me tell you, I'm so glad I did. This goes above and beyond being a cleanser, it is a sensory experience! One pump is enough for me to spread across my face, neck, and décolleté after moistening with a tiny bit of water. It is a lightweight and smooth gel that doesn't get overly foamy, and feels almost like a hydrating serum. It takes off every bit of SPF and makeup, and rinses clean without scrubbing or rubbing, and my skin doesn't feel stripped or dry. I do leave this on and gently massage my face for about a minute, to get the full skincare benefits. After drying, my skin feels instantly hydrated and has a clean glow. It doesn't have an added perfume, but does have a bit of scent that is lightly herbal/fresh, likely from the chamomile and ginger extracts in the formula. I love the Young Goose line's approach to NAD+ boosting, especially since I supplement NAD+ orally but have recently gone down a rabbit hole of research regarding the skincare benefits of topical NAD+ boosters. In addition, the entire line is cruelty-free. Admittedly, I'm more of a "money is not an object" type skincare consumer, but this cleanser is a great value given how long the bottle will last, and how it acts as not just a cleanser, but a real self-care treat. This cleanser has become my absolute go-to. It cleans beautifully without drying out my skin or leaving it tight. Instead, my skin feels soft, calm, and moisturized after every use. I love that it’s soap-free and gentle enough for sensitive skin. I will definitely be buying it again! Read more

This only came in a box that was slightly open and didn't have a seal on it, which is a bit disconcerting to me when getting products online. I did decide to still try it out though hoping that it's just the way this company sends their products out. This cleanser lathered up really well and was able to clean my skin exceptionally well. I love how gentle this felt on my skin too as it didn't cause any irritation to my sensitive skin. This should last a long time as you get a decent sized bottle, and you only need a small pump or two to be able to clean your face. Overall I was pleased with this product, I just wish it was sealed!! Read more

While this product was nice, I could probably find something just as good for less that does the same thing. The smell was not too good. I cannot see myself continuing to use this because of the smell. It comes in a glass bottle which I'm sure they could lower the price if they chose different bottles. It also doesn't come with a lid for the top which is a concern for me because if this is just free inside a bag nothing is stopping another object from pressing on the pump and having it get all over my bag. From the first pump it is easy to tell that this soap-free cleanser is pure in every sense - it's crystal clear, and the viscosity is in between that of a serum and a liquid face wash. It lathers well (see photo) and it leaves my face "really" feeling clean afterwards, as it doesn't leave that waxy/lotion feeling that always results after using soap cleansers that are packed with oily chemicals and fragrance. The scent is really nice - it's a little on the heavier side for a facial cleanser, but it's light and fragrant and it actually smells unique when compared to traditional soap based facial cleansers. My favorite feature (in addition to it being soap free and natural!) is that this cleanser is adaptogenic - it's the perfect base wash to use prior to applying daily/nightly toners, serums, and moisturizers - and I actually feel like the serums that I use regularly are penetrating my skin more deeply as opposed to how they feel when I use regular soap based face wash prior to applying. Overall, I am really pleased with the quality and benefits of this cleanser, and the value definitely aligns to the cost - I'm a big fan! Read more

This Young Goose cleanser, with its ginger and chamomile, smells like it came from a very serious health food store. It doesn’t smell bad, I actually like it, but it does smell like a Berkeley co-op. It has a very slippery consistency that was nice and I needed to use a lot less than I expected to (their instruction for 1-2 pumps seemed small, but was spot on). It foams up enough, feels very gentle, and got my skin noticeably clean (a little on the squeaky side, but it felt good). This is a great cleanser and I have no complaints. Read more

First, the manufacturer packaging is not very good. The box had already popped open in transit, and the pump top had already fallen out by the time I received it. I’ve been fiddling with the pump to secure it back on and I think I might have just received a defective one. I’ve been able to get it to work, but it definitely requires some finagling. The cleanser itself is nice and gentle. I don’t usually like chamomile, but the scent is light and pleasant. No problems for my sensitive skin. It is gentle without being overly drying. A nice cleanser, but perhaps a little bit expensive compared to other similar products. Read more
