These quick release lanyards are perfect for everything photography. They seem pretty sturdy and well made, but it's still a plastic clip. I put some of these on my Pocketwizards and Strobes to make a secure quick connection that won't fall off when I'm moving lights around the studio or location. Also works great for tethered shooting when connecting cables to your shooting table. It's just like a Jerkstopper but for 1/10 the price! I use an A clamp to tie the ring into and clamp that near my laptop. Then tie the other end into a loop to your tether cable about a foot away from the end of your cable so if you trip on it it jerks the clamp and not your USB port! Read more

I'm so glad I found these. Let me tell you why... I use a hardware token key with my work computer. The key is literally a USB connector that fits into any standard USB port and barely protrudes. If my laptop were anything other than a MacBook this would have been wonderful: I could have inserted the key into a USB port permanently. But Apple, in their infinite wisdom, decided that USB-C/Lightning 3 ports are soooooo much better and they stopped putting "standard" USB ports on MacBooks. So I had to purchase an adapter to make the USB key fit a USB-C port, and that sticks out of the side of my MacBook. I can't leave it plugged in permanently now, and the key is so small that it can be easily lost, and I have indeed lost one already. These lanyards saved the day for me. The key that I have has such a small slot for the lanyard string/loop that most lanyards won't fit it. But the loops on these lanyards are made of small but very strong fibers and I had no trouble pushing it through the hole and securing the key with it. The latching connector that holds the lanyard pieces together is strong, but comes loose with a firm squeeze of the plastic fingers on its sides. I only needed one of these, but for the price I got ten, which I have shared with fellow coworkers. The companies who make these tiny hardware keys should include one or two of these with every single tiny key that they sell, but until that happens this is your best bet! Read more

if you, like me, have bought USB Drives, etc., that did not come with a cord, and found they seem to disappear in pocket or purse or on a desktop, these provide the answer to this 'problem. For storage and organization, you can hang 'them' on a hook: add add keys and you have a keyring, yet the lanyard connector allows you to disconnect the USB, or other, for use. These are a basic USB lanyard with a removable clip. The design is pretty simple and the string and plastic is the same quality on what you would find at a general store. I'm still on the first two lanyards and I use this pretty often. I have them attached to my keys which gets thrown around along with my USBs. I'm surprised I haven't broken the clip yet. I work in IT, so I use this lanyard and my USBs for a lot of things clipping it on and off and tossing my keys around. They're still holding up. Read more
