Luckily, I read all of the reviews on this product before purchasing. I knew to look for the tools and parts in the headboard, but there is also a large piece of paper instructing the buyer to check the headboard. The directions were straightforward. The allen wrench is a pain but in order not to strip the screws, I decided to skip the drill. My husband did the final “tightening” of the hardware for me to make sure everything was secure. In total, the bed took me about 2 hours to assemble. Because I prefer a box spring, I purchased a low profile box spring and it was perfect. After the mattress and bedding was added, you can still see the headboard. My parents stayed for 4 days and said the bed didn’t squeak or feel unstable at all, in fact, said it was VERY comfortable (yay!!). The chemical scent that comes off the bed is STRONG. I left it in my garage to air out for 2 days before I assembled it. I recommend an air purifier (if you have one) in the same room for a few days before using it. The price for value is very good. The navy fabric is really really pretty. I didn’t expect to be “wowed” considering the price and was expecting that I would want to return. Happily surprised by the bed, however. This bed frame is beautiful and a perfect height for my aging mom who was needing to be moved into assisted living and we had to furnish her room. We chose a twin size and this one because it was perfect height for her to easily get in and out! The fabric is nice and it was very easy to assemble. It’s very sturdy and feels much more expensive than it was. The blue is the perfect color. I would recommend for anyone needing a bedframe that has sturdy style, functionality and value! I took the plunge and bought this frame because most green frames are an emerald teal color, and I really wanted an olive/fern shade that wasn't 700$+...let me tell you, when I opened the box I got so giddy! The color is perfect and it is so beautiful!! I put this together by myself and it took about 1.5-2 hrs to assemble, which wasn't very difficult at all! I was worried at first because my king mattress barely fit, but i turned it and it fits perfectly! It seems to be very sturdy and i like that the wooden legs are only on the foot, and the headboard sides are the upper legs, which seems to be a very good foundation. I did notice that if you move it, PUSH IT, DON'T PULL THE SIDES - due to how you put it together, pulling feels like you'll split something apart or break it. Not a bad thing, just good thing to keep in mind. The headboard is the perfect height for me with just the 12-14" mattress! Overall, I definitely recommend this bed and especially this color!!
