I got these floating shelves to use in my bathroom. I needed some new shelves to be able to hold my shampoo and other toiletries. The other ones I had rusted, but they were over 15 years old so I wasn't surprised. These claim to be rust proof so that was what attracted me to them in the first place. I didn't like the sticky pads and the little screws that came with the shelves so I opted to use a drill and screws instead. I was worried that continuous exposure to humidity would over time weaken the adhesive, so I just went that route instead. The shelves are a bit easy to bend if you put really heavy objects on, but as long as you use the shelves for just bathroom stuff and nothing too heavy, I would highly recommend these for use. I had no problems installing the shelves and they do seem to be high quality. They look great too as the black goes well with my bathroom design. I recommend these shelves for bathroom use. Nice small little shelf. The adhesive seems strong so far though I wouldn't trust it for anything heavy/important. It's a neat idea though to have an adhesive mount alllowing you to screw the shelf to. The shelf itself feels good, lightweight, smooth, and most importantly does not have any sharp edges. I have lots of decorative knick knacks but only a small amount of display space, so floating shelves are very useful. The area I live in has heavy air traffic and pictures on walls often shift, so having a small lip gives peace of mind that my stuff won't fall off. The supplied anchors and screws are more heavy duty than those from other companies, so I can also be reassured that the shelf won't fall off the wall. Weight capacity isn't specified but with the 1-1/2" screw size, I'd guess up to 5 lbs., which would be a hefty decorative object for the 6" shelf. The slim profile is nice looking and doesn't compete with what's displayed and the black blends right into my dark walls. Looks great with interior lighted glass objects. Haven't installed it yet as I'm deciding between my many choices of what & where. Will update review with final choice. As halloween is coming up, I may try installing it on the window glass for a decorative candle display, then move it (or order another!). Read more

Decent metal and strong enough to hold my wifi router. The issue is the adhesive squares. They have a nice design with metal threads in them, then you put two screws through the shelf into them. They aren't going anywhere. The issue is the adhesive. It's not 3M and did not stick to drywall. If you're going to use it on glass or metal you should be fine, maybe even wood, but plan on using some kind of screw or wall fastener if you want them to stay up. Read more
