When I opened the package, the scratchers and the hardware were wrapped neatly, with the screwdriver and protector stickers packed separately. Each cardboard scratching piece feels lightweight but steady, with that sense layered texture you expect from a firm scratcher. Assembly was simple. The pieces fit together cleanly, and the instructions were easy enough to follow by picture. Once set up, the L-shaped design rests neatly against the wall. The vertical height gives a good stretch point, and the base sits flat without wobbling. The small ball with catnip goes into the grooved floor section as part of the setup. I appreciate that this comes as a two pack - it makes placement easier around the house. The neutral look blends in well and it's easy to move as needed. Overall, it feels like value - it's a straightforward scratcher with a clean look and a practical layout. Read more
Like most cats, my cat loves to tear up my couches! I was investing in a new couch so I researched all of the solutions to prevent damage. Giving my cat a safe option for scratching when he gets that urge upon seeing my pristine couch was my decision. This is very fun for my cat. After 4 months, he hasn’t even touched the couch with his claws. I will say that he got the ball out almost immediately but that’s not all that important. These function well, were easy to put together, and they have been very durable through the abuse he puts it through. I feel this product is a good value. The size is large enough to distract from the couch but slim enough to not be in the way. They are clearly cat scratchers but the appearance isn’t unsightly. These don’t smell at all. Read more
Easy to put together. My cat loves it. She can stretch up and scratch. It is a great product for the price. You get two in the package so I gave one to my sister for her cats. They also loved it. Read more
I bought these months ago and was initially put off because they seemed "flimsy". The short plastic screws holding everything together screw into the cardboard of the pads themselves. I was sure my cats would destroy them in short order but they have held up nicely to months of aggressive scratching. Just be sure to avoid overtightening the screws during assembly. They are not as solid as scratching pads that have wooden frames that screw together to hold the pads, but the trade off is that they are less expensive. A nice feature is that you can reverse the pads when they get scratched out (recommend making a new screw hole) and get more scratching for your buck. All in all a pretty good product; the cats love them and they stopped scratching our furniture as much. I just ordered two more - the old ones are still going on their first side but we needed more coverage because we are getting new furniture. Read more
easy to put together, fairly sturdy for something basically cardboard, cat uses it--altho I put it upside down initially because that was the same shape as her old one. Put it in the same spot and she knew what to do :-) Update: So the first one lasted 4 months exactly with one small cat using it daily and I flipped the sides over at some point so all sides of all cardboard could be used. It’s still useable but shredded enough I can tell it’s not as satisfying to my cat. So just assembled the new one and will leave the old one out somewhere to see if she still uses it. Yeah it’s cheap quality in some ways—probably made in China—but for 8 months of scratching it’s basically $9 month. People pay that for one coffee these days so I don’t think it’s too much to spend, albeit a super-high markup for just cardboard and plastic. And yeah it makes a mess but so what? That’s what a broom or vacuum is for. That being said, the design is smart, all tools provided, takes 5-10 min max to assemble. I’m happy to pay the price for my cat to scratch something she enjoys. I just wish they sold replacement cardboard, it’s a shame to throw away the sides and screws when they are like new. Also wish they supplied a few extra rubber feet, they lose their grip after awhile. I’m satisfied overall and so is my cat. They could just make so much more money with replacement parts. Read more

My cats love these! They scratch it often throughout the day, and I think they love the cardboard. This has really helped them stop scratching the rugs/furniture. It' very lightweight and a good size for both large and small cats. The little ball inside is a great toy for them as well. They do fall apart a bit after a while (which is expected, and we have already bought a second set. Read more
I give it three stars because it is cardboard and very messy. It's easy to assemble. Took less than ten minutes with included screwdriver. I rubbed some catnip into it to get my cat's attention. My cat is having a good time shredding this thing. But it is messy, and I do not expect it to last very long. When my cat destroys the first one, I'll put the second one together and let her shred that one. But I won't buy again. Read more
