I picked up these ZARLAN cotton linen pants for the upcoming warm weather, and they’ve been a fantastic addition to my summer wardrobe. They strike the perfect balance between looking put-together and feeling like you’re wearing nothing at all. This is my second pair, Army Green - Large. The first ones that I got were Grey - Medium. The fit between the medium and the large is true to size. The Medium on my Athletic slim body fits trim and tailored, with a perfect waist and a slight shortness to the bottom that isn't high-waters, but it's not a heavy break. The large is the flowy relaxed beach resort look, perfect for the Maldives or the Caribbean. That model, chic, "ahhhhh, I'm relaxed but yes I'll take the call" vibe. I am wearing these RIGHT NOW as I type. The first time I tried them on, I opened the bag, put them on and have to say, I instantly "felt good" Verbally said "welll welll welllllllll". What works: Breathable fabric: The cotton-linen blend is incredibly lightweight and lets air flow freely. No chemical smell out of the package. Comfortable fit: The relaxed fit gives plenty of room to move without feeling baggy or like I’m wearing parachute pants. The elastic waistband with a drawstring lets me adjust the fit perfectly throughout the day. True to size: They fit as expected (I got an M, and it was spot on). The length works well with sandals or sneakers, and the cuffed bottoms add a nice touch. I'm athletic slim and over 6feet tall, so a trip to the tailor will get these right where I want them to be. You may not have to do all that, I just have a very slim waist. Versatile style: They look great with a simple T-shirt for the beach or a linen shirt for a casual dinner. The muted earthy colors (like army green or khaki) are easy to match. My girl had walked in and I had the tag still on in the back by accident. She starts touching the fabric and asking questions and grabbing the pocket and all kinds of stuff. These have geed energy my friends. Practical pockets: The front pockets are deep enough for a phone and keys, which is a huge plus compared to some fashion pants. But I don't roll with a phone OR keys in the pockets... ruins the whole frame of the pants. You ever see someone walking around with their pockets looking like Santa's sack all bul--- Santa's TOY sack-- all bulging and misshapen? Yes, don't be that guy. Durable feel: The fabric feels soft but substantial, I may get a lighter color other than the grey I chose. One caveat: Wrinkles: Like all linen blends, they wrinkle easily. I’ve found that smoothing them out while air-drying helps, but if you want them crisp, you’ll need to iron them. But fuggaettabout it. Linen wrinkles. Be the linen. Wrinkle yourself. Shrinkage: I've never had anything shrink in my life because I know how to do laundry. Rule number 1 is anything you don't want shrunk never NEVER goes in the washer on hot water or in the dryer at ALL. Follow these rules and you, too, will never end up with a onesie after putting in a sile Large t-shirt. Care: Skip the dryer; air-drying flat is the best way to maintain the fit and prevent excessive wrinkling. Mentioned it above, but I know folks are gonna skip it and use the dryer. Bottom line: For the price these are an excellent value. They’re comfortable enough to wear around the house but stylish enough to leave the house in. All ready for a summer cruise, these pants are extremely comfortable and stylish. I bought these for my son, and they fit and look great, so the sizing is true to size. The baggy legs make these comfortable enough for him to wear all day and not feel like he can hardly wait to get home and change. I ordered a size large and he is 176 pounds, 32" waist in pants and 5'10". I'm glad I washed these before he wore them, as I don't think he has taken them off yet! As far as the wash, I washed in cold water and then used the permanent press setting on the dryer. They shrank less than 1" and didn't need ironing as I took them out of the dryer the minute it shut off and hung them up. On the inside, the seams are finished with a surge stitch, so there was no fraying even after washing. My son really appreciated the drawstring, drawstring in addition to the elastic waistband which allowed for better customizing the waist. He has worn these out for a date night with his wife paired with a button up Hawaiian shirt on the top. They look like a dress slack if you don't see the waist and drawstring.
