The ZELUS Curved Weighted Vest Plates are a fantastic upgrade for anyone serious about maximizing their workouts. Designed with an ergonomic curve, these plates fit comfortably against the chest and back, allowing for natural movement without digging in or shifting during intense exercise. The solid steel construction gives them a premium feel, and their durability ensures they can handle even the toughest training sessions. The orange finish not only looks sharp but also resists scratching and adds a touch of personality to your gear. Whether you’re running, doing CrossFit, or strength training, the weight distribution feels balanced and stable, enhancing your endurance and intensity without sacrificing comfort. They slide perfectly into most tactical vests, creating a snug and secure fit that stays in place as you move. The weight options—5.75, 8.75, or 13.75 pounds per plate—make it easy to customize your resistance and progressively challenge yourself. Each pair is precision cut and finished smoothly, with no rough edges or imperfections. The slightly curved design really makes a difference in long workouts, reducing pressure points and improving posture. They’re also great for bodyweight exercises, adding resistance for push-ups, squats, or pull-ups. The quality craftsmanship shows through immediately, giving a sense of reliability and longevity. Even after repeated use, the coating doesn’t chip or wear down easily. These plates help turn any workout into a more efficient, strength-building session. They’re portable enough to take anywhere, whether to the gym or an outdoor training spot. For athletes, fitness enthusiasts, or anyone looking to level up their training intensity, the ZELUS Curved Weighted Vest Plates deliver exceptional performance, comfort, and durability in one sleek package. Great value for the money. Read more
Curved Plates: The Key to a Comfortable Weighted Vest First Impression: I've used flat plates before and they always felt like I was strapping a brick to my chest. Opening the box, the first thing I noticed about these ZELUS plates was the ergonomic curve. They looked substantial—high-quality, solid steel—but the curve instantly gave me hope for a more comfortable workout. The clear weight markings and the smooth, rounded edges were nice touches of quality control. Pros: The curved design is a game-changer. These plates truly hug my torso, preventing that annoying shifting, poking, and digging that flat plates cause, especially during dynamic movements like burpees or sprints. They slide easily into my tactical vest (no snags!) and stay securely in place without any rattle or discomfort. The different colors for each weight tier (I got the orange 5.75lb pair) make identifying the resistance level quick and easy, which is great for progressive overload training. They're a perfect tool for adding intensity to my CrossFit WODs and rucks. Cons: They are solid steel, which is durable, but they are also definitely pricey compared to flat plates or sandbags. If you need multiple weight increments, the cost adds up quickly. Overall Thoughts: These plates have elevated my weighted vest training experience significantly. The comfort and secure fit let me focus 100% on my workout rather than constantly adjusting my gear. If you’re serious about weight vest training, especially high-intensity work, these are a non-negotiable upgrade. Suggestions for Improvement: I would love to see them offer a slightly thicker coating to prevent any potential noise if the vest pockets are a little loose. Recommendation: Highly recommend. This is the professional-grade solution to uncomfortable weighted vests. Invest in these; your ribcage will thank you! Read more
The curvature of the plate digs into my chest and abdomen at the tops and bottoms a little more than I am comfortable with. I might consider a product with less curve, or plan on altering your plates slightly. They get the job done for what I purchased them for. Read more
These are great, well-made weighted plates. The powder coating is very durable and very thick. I got the orange colored 5.75 pound plates of this brand and they are really amazing looking and very useful because sometimes you don't want to workout with the heaviest option and that's when the 5.75 pounder comes in perfect. They are perfectly shaped with a curve around the chest muscle region and very soft and smoothe rounded edges. There are no sharp angles and nothing that cuts into you when you're running or hiking over terrain. It's soft smoothe and weighted. They also cover a good percentage of the chest mostly over the heart and lungs and are made of strong steel. They fit very well in my vests that were made to hold steel plates. They are not cheap but reasonably priced for two large and thick steel plates of good quality. Read more
Do not do burpees with these plates unless you like bruises on your collar bones. If you're just walking should be fine. I went with sand plates. More expensive than these for sure, but I don't worry about knocking my teeth out when putting on my vest. Read more
