I like the idea of these lights but there were several reasons I returned. First, there is no ground wire with these fixtures. It is likely due to the casing being constructed of all plastic, but still threw me off. The main reason for return is this is one of the worst mounting methods I have experienced. In theory, it is great, they are slide-in-place brackets. The first issue is there isn't enough clearance to house the wires. The second is you cannot see where to align the back of the fixture to the housing as it is recessed in the body to make everything flush. To install, you have to fight not only with the wires falling back into place but trying to feel for the cutaway slot and then push up and slide to latch. Once it is latched, it is way too tight. I thought I was going to break the mounting bracket even when dry fitting to see how it worked. If you don't remember what way you installed the lights and have to take them off later, you would likely have to break the mounting bracket as I didn't find any indicator of the alignment. I had high hopes for this flush mount light, and while it does a decent job when it comes to illumination — the brightness and light coverage are genuinely good and light up the room well — that's pretty much where the positives end. The aesthetic quality is a major disappointment. It looks and feels like it's made of cheap plastic, and once it's up on the ceiling, it does nothing to enhance the look of the room. If anything, it takes away from the overall elegance of the space. A flush mount light is something you notice every time you walk into a room, and this one just doesn't give you that premium, sophisticated feel you'd want in your home. It might work fine for a utility area like a garage or a storeroom, but for a living room or bedroom where aesthetics matter, I'd suggest looking for something better.
