Have been using this cooler for 2 years for long distance road trips. You do have to plug it in the night before to run it to get it cold before putting it into your vehicle. The first time I used it it didn't keep things very cold so then I added those freezable hard packs to it in around my items and it works way better to keep things cold now Read more
We have only used it to cool and it keeps everything nice and cold while traveling. We used to put ice into ziplock bags and use a small ice chest. Then at night we had to transfer the food to the hotel frig and get more ice the next day. Now we can leave it in this ice chest. Of course you have to plug it in over night, but that's ok. We took it to Florida and back - awesome. Read more

If I could give a half star I would. This is NOT quiet as the description says. There is no thermostat or temperature readout to see what the temperature is to make sure your food is being kept cool. After receiving & plugging in, the interior temperature was 70. After running for over an hour, the unit never got below 50. That is not an appropriate temperature for cold food storage. After another hour, still 50 & the unit never turned off. Nevertheless, I returned this. Very disappointed. Read more
Could just be my vehicle I have a 2021 Jeep Cherokee Lat Lux, but only works if vehicle is turned on. So I just freeze a couple of bottles of water to add to the cooler, if I am traveling where I will need to shut off my vehicle. Other than that, it works great. Keeps things very cold. Worked well for our needs. Kept meds & drinks cold without having the mess that ice makes. Just be careful with the switch & make sure you have it on the right setting. The warm setting will melt chocolate candy! Read more
