Zep urine remover is a legitimate product. It works well. I needed this given that one of my children has ongoing nighttime incontinence. All of her bedding, undergarments and a lot of her clothes sadly smells like pee and was stained with pee. While this product says not for washing machine use, it can be used on various clothing fabrics. I ended up soaking her undergarments in a small wash basin with a couple ounces of Zep and the rest water. I let sit for the recommended time of 5 minutes followed by a hand washing. Zep did the trick nicely. The soak water was definitely gross as it pulled out all the urine from her undergarments. However, none of her clothing items currently smell like pee. Sadly presoaking with Zep and a mini hand washing is a tedious process but it's must to make sure my child doesn't reek. I followed up with machine washing which left her clothing smelling brand new. Overally, for my needs this urine removal product worked extremely well. I'd recommend it for people who have use for like I do. -------- Just for the record, I used this on cotton clothing items. The clothing is fine. I would not use this on animal fibers like silk or wool, directions is clear on which fabrics is not suitable for Zep use. Read more

Have a new puppy, so was using this to keep any odor down when he pee's on tile floor. Then a few days ago noticed bad smell in bedroom, got stronger and found out my 15 year old cat was going to bathroom under the bed. Most likely a protest of new puppy. Was a pain, mattress is super heavy, but was able to clean up area, poured straight from the gallon jug in center of floor(luckily it is laminant flooring). Spread it around entire area and was foaming up. That is from the hydrogen peroxide in this Zep. Once it sat for 15 minutes I used clean water and mopped again. Once dry, I sprayed the zep again and let it sit 15 minutes, then mopped again with fresh water. The horrible ammonia cat smell went away! I sealed up the area under bed, so cat can't do this again. This zep works, I suggest a few treatments to get smell 100%, especially for cat urine, it can smell the worst. Was so bad before cleaning up, I slept in different room. Doesn't leave a chemical odor, just smells normal. Think hydrogen peroxide is the main active thing, the foaming was from breaking down the urine etc. Read more

GOD TIER FOR REMOVING CAT URINE EVEN IF THE STAIN IS SET IN. I used natures miracle enzyme carpet cleaner and it was a total waste of money even after a whole gallon of it and hours of steam cleaning it. I adopted a stray cat about two years ago. He's very well behaved, but the two cats who lived with me started marking my walls and carpets.They all are fixed and ones a girl , I was really surprised by the strong reaction, they get along well now but the pee protest hasn't subsided. I used pheromone diffusers, have two cat boxes per cats and they can go outside I but t's been two years, and I was at my wits end. I have tried everything i could find online to deter and clean up the messes. I have pee pads taped to all the known locations ( I remove if I have guests) but my house smells bad . Cat pee is the worst But this product, it's so great! so far it's been the only one that I have used that really works. It doesn't have a weird lingering smell like other products I've used. It smells a bit windexy, but thats dissipates after it dries. I have a dark brown thick carpet and there hasn't been any fading as of yet. I am super impressed, I just spray to saturate the spot , wait about 20 or 30 mins and then blot with paper towels until the towels no longer show yellow. I have a couple of areas that were a suprise behind doors, and I had to do this a couple of times and break out the carpet cleaner. But it's clean now. Works, good, but they have now doubled the price from $14 to $28 a bottle. I'm done, won't use again, it not worth to that price, you have plenty of other urine remover tat work just as good for a way better price. So you lost me as a customer for your double price increase Read more
