Not my first one. I like the flex this has unlike the ones with solid plates. 20lb version comfortable on my shoulders, can wear it loose or snug depending. For me it is a great addition to elliptical, plyo, any leg work really. Have not tried it running. It is going to fit every person's body differently. A thick, sleeveless sweatshirt helps with pressure points if needed. One thing, lay it on the ground with the inside facing you. You'll notice the weights just stuffed in there without much consideration. Take your fists or something and pound those packets nice and flat. Makes a difference. Read more
This vest has been a fantastic addition to my home workouts. It's my first weighted vest and it really adds intensity to bodyweight squats and treadmill walking. Even simple walking feels more challenging, and it's pretty easy to put on and take off once you get used to it. Just be careful not to bonk yourself in the head or drop it on your toes! The strong Velcro straps keep it super secure during exercise. The vest is comfortable, but it's important to start with a lighter weight and gradually increase. I added too much weight at first and felt it in my shoulders, so definitely lower the weight if you feel any discomfort. This vest is well-made and feels sturdy, just be cautious about scraping it on rough surfaces since it's mesh. It seems like it will hold up well through many workouts. Overall, I’m really pleased with this vest. Highly recommend it! Read more
I purchased the 20lb vest off amazon. I also bought the 10lb version from a guy off facebook marketplace for kicks. This is a good product. I have used them for box jumps, hill sprints, dips, pushups, handstand pushups, ab wheel rollouts, rows, and pullups, and I am very pleased. The 20lb vest is incredibly secure and does not slide around my body at all. The 10lb moves a little, as the portions of the weights that stick out beneath the velcro strap flop around a bit (but it's honestly not that bad). So if you are considering getting the 10 or 20, i would get the 20 and just remove some of the weights. I have used some other vests, and this is by far the most secure I have used (the velcro straps are very thick, and the double straps work well). I read some reviews about how the feeling of the weights on the inside of the vest was uncomfortable, and I disagree, it never bothered me at all and I think they are very comfortable, unless you are performing an exercise laying on the ground (like sit-ups, which i haven't done) I have had the vests for a few months and they show no signs of wear, even the 10lb which i bought used. I haven't taken out the weights and tried to put them back in so I can't comment on that. In the future I hope to try a heavier size as well. Read more
INTRODUCTION: I am a 34 year old U.S. Army soldier in currently stationed in Afghanistan, so you can guareentee that if I am taking time to write a review( down time that I could be using to sleep or write my family)that It will be accurate review based upon actual facts and not emotions. Setup: I received my MiR 20LBS Comfortable Exercise Adjustable PRO Weighted VEST 5 days ago. I bought it new on sale for [...](New year's sale 60% off marked down from 69.99). It took about a week to get here. Shipping cost me more then what I paid for the vest ($29.99), but it's what I expected it to cost for a 20lb package to be shipped to Afghanistan. Results after 5 days(approx. 64hrs of wear): So far I am very impressed with the vest, it fits well and is easy to adjust and seems to be made out of really durable material. I tried jumping up and down rapidly for 30 secs and the vest barely moved. The vest is a little bulky under my uniform but I see that as a small price to pay for increase speed and endurance. I only wear it continuously 12-14 hrs a day but since I only got it five days ago I am taking it slowly by letting my body get use to the weight before I start actually exercising with it on. The only down side I see is the burst of energy I feel when I take it off before I go to sleep. I can't wait to take it on a run! Check back for my update when I start exercising and am able to see what this baby can really do! Read more
I got this vest mostly based on "Soldier boy" endorsement. I am in process oflosing weight. I have been doing medifast diet, at my Dr recommendation, and total weight loss has been 28lbs for the year but since doing medifast 18 of those lbs came off in 3 1/2 weeks. I feel I have more energy so thought I get a weighted vest to add to my walks just to increase the work out. I hope it does help. I am a women and we have extra on top hehe but the vest still feels comfortable. I was worried about comfort because men are flat and the vest fits them more snug but despite the extra on top the vest was still comfortable and easy to put on and it closes well because of the velcro wraps which are easy to use.(It reminds me of the bullet proof vest police officers use) I am happy so far but only have it a day. I wore it to walk to the store and back home. I thought that I would have trouble coming back up the hill that leads to where I live but had no trouble. I felt really comfortable and when I take it off its just like soldier boy said. I felt like I had and extra boost in my step. I hope it makes a difference. Family thinks I am wasting money but I hope they are wrong. The quality of the vest is great. So thanks soldier boy for your endorsement and recommendation. I am happy with this product. Glad it was on sale because the shipping cost bit pricey...happy with the quality. I think when I loose more weight I may go up to a 40lb weight if I see this one helps me. Read more
