This was extremely easy to use. I had lost the zipper pull off a Field and Forest (generic Carhartt) jacket. I found another jacket that I could zip it together with, read the zipper size off the back of that pull (a #5 in this case) and ordered this product. I used needle nose pliers to remove the top stop, slid a new slide onto the zipper, clamped the original top stop back in place, and it was good to go. This kit come with replacement top and bottom stops if you needed to cut one off or that is the part that broke. Extremely easy to use and should be able to fix pretty much any metal zipper. My son crushed his Carhartt in his locker crushing his slider in pieces. I ordered these not sure I could fix it but because this is a complete set and the different size sliders I was able to match up to his coats teeth and replace with a little ingenuity because went from the top, too chicken to remove the bottom stop. This saved me almost 200 because I would have otherwise had to replace the coat or tried to find someone in the city who repairs zippers as I am very rural. Read more

Excellent price for the zipper pulls. They do what they were made for. Fixing older clothes that still have a ton of life left. I have a Heavy winter Carhartt Hooded coat. Last wash the dryer ate the pull. Well it is over 15 years old....... The #10 pull fixed it right up. I ordered the "kit" so I had spares for other Heavy Duty Clothing that are showing wear and tear. This packet of zipper slider assortment and stops is very good, but it didn't have the size that I needed to repair the zipper on a coat. It did not have a number 9, which I needed. I am at a loss to know where to get such a thing. I ordered this zipper repair kit thinking I would finally get the size of slider I needed for a plastic zipper on a ladies coat. It did not contain a #9. The # 8 is too small and the #10 is too big. I know not where to look any more. Read more
