Only gave 3 stars because the standard zippo inserts butane and arc don’t fit this lighter ! I haven’t found any other inserts but the one it came with that fit it ! This thing is absolutely gorgeous! The armor case on the lighter is thicker than a standard case. The design is actually engraved into the case instead of being an emblem adhered to it like a standard case. Genuine Zippo brand so quality is top notch. Read more

It's a Zippo! It works well as long as you keep it filled. I'm a smoker, so that's not a problem. And as long as I own Zippos, I will smoke SOMETHING (lol), just so I can use these little chromed brass boxes of fire. Really like the design, it looks as good in person as it does in the photos. I love this lighter -- the gauge of the steel used to construct it is perfect. To me, it feels like classic Zippos used to feel. I used a butane insert instead of the standard Zippo "fluid" one that comes with the lighter. The insert was actually just a bit small for this lighter, so I used a small piece of blue masking tape on the insert to make it a little wider (so it wouldn't rattle) -- worked like a charm! The base of the lighter and associated insert are not standard classic, they are slightly shorter (likely to accommodate the design). As a result the lighter provides a shorter than normal 'guts' of the lighter to allow smooth operation. If you need to change out the guts either for a new one or another insert such as the Zippo Brand Butane, then it will not open/close smoothly. I could understand if I had an off brand insert, but I specifically bought the branded one (B07XSPY5DK) assuming it would fit. If you want a shelf piece, its gorgeous. If you actually wanted to use this lighter, then you may be disappointed. Read more
