Zippo Collectible Lighters

I don't think Zippo needs any introduction, so I'll highlight the key features of this particular model. It's the 2016 Collectible of the Year, which might or might not mean anything, I think "Collectible" is a very abused term when it comes to Zippo and don't buy it thinking it will increase its value over the year, chances are: it won't. That said, it is an "armor" Zippo, which means it is build with thicker metal walls, which makes it feel more solid, heavy and overall better than a regular Zippo, which are already very nice to hold and handle. The decoration is etched or engraved and it goes all around the lighter, the aesthetic is certainly a personal taste, but it's undeniable that it looks different from other Zippos, and very good to me. The polishing of the chrome is remarkably well done and pleasant to look at. Overall, buy it if you like its look and if you do, you won't be disappointed, it's as beautiful as Zippos get: keep in mind that it's more expensive than most Zippos, and honestly this premium price won't really hold over time. Im so glad I bought this Zippo. It comes just as pictured, the front and back of the Zippo is horizontally brushed with the red "windy" emblem on the front. There is corner stripes on the front and back. The left side of the Zippo is numbered, the number of my Zippo is 34,703/35,000. The sides are high polished chrome and all Flat. Its got a hinge on the outside which looks real old fashion. The lighter is just a little shorter then the usual(about 1/8 an inch). The box is just like the box pictured, its twice as wide as the usual Zippo box.The box also has a white cover that protects the box and it says "Zippo Collectible Of The Year" "Zippo Limited Edition". It arrived here on time, not a scratch on it. I love it. I highly recommend this Zippo to anyone who collects Zippos or likes high quality Zippos. Read more

The only thing I would say that for around 110 - 120 they could have used better paint materials on the lighters. Other than that it is exceptional collectable from zippo. I would even say that from a value perspective it is even better when you get 2 lighters technically about for the price of one "collectable lighter". Box is great although I would suggest you put a little oil on it to preserve it. The overall artwork is e very good idea. Read more

Purchased the 2018 before the release. Paid the $114 thinking i was getting a great deal because it was listed $140 on the zippo site. Wont do that again. Ill wait next time. But other than that it is a real nice lighter. Its plated so the gold will wear off eventually. And the finish is not covered under the lifetime warranty. So in the drawer it sits. This definitely is more for the collector. Not that it will ever really be worth anything more than... well apparently less then i paid. At least it will remind me everytime i look at it to not make rash decisions. So i guess it was a good investment in the long run.
