Zippo Flame Lighters

This is one gorgeous piece of hand candy. I'm not a smoker, but need to carry a lighter from time to time, and I also like collecting different items that catch my eye. This one is a real eye catcher. This is my fourth Zippo armor lighter, and they all have the same high quality build and attention to detail. The inner part of the lighter is standard Zippo and can be swapped out with any other full sized lighter they make. The big deal with this model is the extra thickness, and the beauty of the design. They claim the body is thicker by 1.5 times. This claim is hard to prove by feel alone, but you'll notice the difference the first time you open or close one. The classic Zippo "Click" is a way deeper bass note than the normal lighters. The chrome finish on this lighter is thick and flawless, and the red epoxy paint in the flame has no trace of bubbles at all. Awesome lighter! Beautiful ! To the degree I had one stolen and purchased another to replace it. Great detail. American made in Bradford PA. Keep in mind this is an Armor "Thick-Wall" lighter. You may have some difficulty taking the workings out of the outer case when you open it. That is normal. Put some fluid around the perimeter before pulling it out of the case the first time & it will slip right out to fill it for the first time. I suggest (after having one for over 2 years) purchasing a leather case to store it in. The beautiful Ruby Flame is easily "Chipped" at the outer points if you carry it in your pocket with loose change or keys. This is one of the most Fabulous Zippo Lighters in my collection. It commands a lot of attention in conversation among "Zippo Enthusiasts". Keep it close because it will get stolen quick. BTW even though it is a "Thick-Wall" case, lay-off the Zippo tricks because some of them are more difficult because of the extra weight ! (Mine wound up on the Carpeted Floor doing the "IN & OUT Again") . You will have to slightly re-learn it because of the FEEL. Read more

This is my third Zippo, and I have to say it is my favorite. All Zippo lighters are quality, but this one has just a little bit of extra to it. Nice bolted style to it, the diamond design is very nice, and the red flame is a great visual addition. It functions like an Zippo would, so there is no added value to it there. The only drawback is that the design is front only, and the back is just smooth. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, just pointing it out. The back doubles as an on the go mirror, look at it that way. All in all, really no negatives to it. If you love Zippos, getting an armored one is definitely a great idea. The extra thickness can be felt, especially when holding a regular one in your other hand. 4/5 for sure, just on the basis as nothing is perfect for a 5/5. Read more

For such a low price you will be pleasantly surprised. The gold and silver etching on the satin chrome finish go together perfectly. It is a simple Zippo , however all Zippos are beautiful and this one stands out in its own way. Rubbing your finger from the etching to the smooth satin finish will delight anyone. If you buy it, admire it and put it back in its box where it belongs. A year from now you will be glad you did as you will preserve its beauty.
