Truly the most gorgeous and solid Zippo I have. I would say this is the perfect Zippo unless you are wealthy enough to afford the solid gold version which I am not (play sad trombone here). The combination of sterling silver and the thicker Zippo "Armor" case make this an heirloom quality piece. Being sterling silver of course it will take some maintenance (polishing), but it's a labor of love and a small price to pay. This arrived exactly as advertised, new in box, immaculate condition - and - way ahead of schedule. I would definitely order from the same retailer again. Thinking of getting one for my dad for Christmas. He doesn't smoke but I know he will appreciate the quality and beauty. If you love sterling silver and you love Zippo lighters, you won't regret purchasing this. Also as a sidenote it was significantly cheaper on Amazon than direct from Zippo. Read more

If you're going to go Sterling, you should go Armor. The weight alone makes this feel more premium than the "normal" Sterling Silver Zippos. There's a heft to it that makes it clear that yes, you are holding a Zippo that is, out of the mainstream but isn't obnoxiously so. In other words, it's not flashy, not insistent on attention, but does have that casual understated elegance that is really difficult to achieve even by the major Style Houses out there. The Armor has a heavier case which, basically, compliments the thicker casing over the "standard" Sterling lighter. If I had a nit, and it really isn't a big one, it's that the insert is the standard Zippo insert. In other words, nothing special. This can actually be a good thing in that if there's a problem with the insert you can just drop in another one. Also I have some of the replica 1935 and 1941 Zippos which do NOT use the standard insert (but instead are period correct) which makes getting replacements a little less convenient. So my nit is tempered by the realization that I really don't WANT a platinum-plated chimney. If this were a museum piece then maybe, but this thing is going to get USED. Packaged in a jewelry-style gift box, which gives this thing a sense of occasion. A storage pouch is also included which will help guard against tarnish (FYI, tarnish is caused by contact with air, so minimizing that contact either via plastic bag or purpose-build cloth is ideal for storage). A fantastic expression of the iconic Zippo lighter. And it doesn't cost $15,000 like the gold one.... Read more

Listed as new, clearly used and placed back in original packaging (shoddily). Did not open until months later as it was a gift for a friend. Incredibly disappointed as the window for return has closed. Would give 0 stars if possible. Read more

Awesome lighter but absolute piss poor quality control. The lighter had been opened and handled by a person with, what I can only pray to Jesus is hair gel on their hands... Not the quality that I've come to expect from Amazon. I will say that after thoroughly washing the lighter, and my hands, I am not too concerned with the inability to wash the "fingerprints "off of the lighter, being that it is sterling silver and has started to tarnish, because I'm planning on customizing this lighter completely and will send pictures when complete.
