It's a Zippo, you get what you expect. The flame is good, it's easy to use, the wind resistance is good. Just remember, let it burn for about 10 seconds before you try to light your pipe so that you don't get the fuel oil smell in your pipe tobacco. Still subject to the fuel evaporation issues that Zippo has always had. Read more

This was the only pipe lighter offered that didn't have a picture of a pipe on the side, so that's why I bought it. It's a Zippo, so it's well made and works as it should. But the design is disappointing. What looks like wood in the picture is no more than a vinyl sticker. The stickers were all pressed on at an angle so it looks like the whole thing is B-stock. Best way to light a pipe. Tobacco pipe. Won't scorch the rim of the bowl. Chimney does get black. OCD might have an issue with that but I don't care, I want my pipe lit and not scorched. Read more
