This is a really nice hat at an extremely reasonable price. The fabric is high-quality. It seems very sturdy and gives a lot of sun protection with its wide brim. The style is what I would call a Safari style. I’m glad I ordered the black for the fall. And I plan on ordering a lighter color for next summer. I have a big head and the size is perfect for me. The chin strap or stampede strap is a nice nylon and is the right length. I would not hesitate to tell you to order this. Grab it at this good price. Great for fall hiking. Read more

First of all, this hat came in a very thin, large'ish' box which is so much better than hats I have received from other companies. The hat was just folded one time so there were not tons of creases on the brim (which are near impossible to smooth out). Bravo on placing the hat neatly in a box!! The top portion is very lightweight and was wrinkled, but straightens out when I put the hat on. The brim is wider than I thought it would be because I measured it against the other sun hats I have and the measurements were the same online. But that extra brim width is fine, and the brim is firm, which is a definite plus. The first hat I ordered a few years ago had a firm brim, but every other hat I've ordered since then (even though they are supposedly the exact same hat that I ordered from that first company) has flimsy brims and tops. And all of those hats arrived folded over into a tiny triangle which totally wrinkles the entire hat. The mesh portion with small air-holes helps greatly in keeping the hat in place on windy days. The hat is decent and is at the right price creating a good value. The problem is that the color of the hat is NOT what is seen on the description. We ordered a beige one and it came in looking peach, or maybe more pinkish. I’m not sure how to describe the color but it was not beige. This was for a son’s trip so we didn’t have any time to resolve this problem so we never reached out to the seller with this issue. Maybe I should give 4 stars then?
