As is customary when I buy towels, the first thing I do is wash them. After the wash I do not have high hopes. I shook off about 2 cups of cotton clumps and fluff onto the floor between the washer and dryer. Some the threads on the towels were hanging loose and had become entangled with long wads of cotton I had to cut off the towels. Some of the loops of thread had become unraveled so there are huge runs in the material and long threads unraveling. The only reason I didn't give this 1 star is the they seem soft but maybe that's because the material has the integrity of a cotton ball. I shall see what happens when I dry them... Edit: Washed them and dried them again. As much cotton fell off the second time as the first. Towels are scratchy now where at first they felt soft. It's like the yarn just disintegrated. I'm guessing the fibers were to short and this crap cotton can't hold together. Adjusting down to 1 star. Worst towels I ever bought. Read more

Make sure you wash these prior to use, that will help the cotton become a little more coarse and it absorbs better that way. The towels are truly ultra soft and feel nice to touch and to use after shower. Colors are pretty and bright. The length and size is good for every day bath use. They are not very thick - pretty thin actually, so would dry quickly. Read more
