Almost perfect!! Great for beans & soups. And so adorable.
Note that this has a capacity of 2.6 cups, if you're having trouble picturing 0.65 quarts like I was. But it actually holds more than I'd pictured. I was really hesitant to buy this because it had so few reviews, but I'm so glad I did! Should have done it sooner but was on the fence. So, a big reason to use this for me is to heat up soups (regular soup or dehydrated mixes) without worrying about it boiling over or having to babysit it at the stove for ages. PROS: - stays just at the edge of a simmer, keeping it from burning but still doing more than an electric lunch warmer or something...it does actually slowly cook the food if left in for several hours (which is a good thing in my case) -microwavable insert allows you to preheat the food a bit to speed up the heating process -It really softens food, including dried beans, up nicely!! -can leave for just a few hours OR all day, and it shouldn't overcook most things -very minimal footprint for a kitchen appliance! -perfect size for heating/slow-cooking 2 small bowls or 1 big bowl of soup -much easier to handle and wash the ceramic insert than the next size, 1.5 quart (which I previously tried and returned, partly bc it took up too much counter space). Not too heavy like others (bc it's small - it does feel sturdy). CONS: -small size might be too limiting for some people, esp if always cooking for more than one. But obviously not an issue if using this for dip. -Cost $$ - it's strange to me that this little unknown brand with 1/3rd the capacity of the next largest size slow cooker is almost twice as expensive as the cheapest of that larger size. -no direct temp control, and could use a hotter setting IMHO -no on/off switch - have to unplug to turn off -no timed auto off! Not like that's common in small crocks, but still. -VERY short cord I get that the short cord and lack of on/off switch are largely to improve safety, but it's still annoying. But almost everything I listed is what you'd get with all mini slow cookers I've seen, so I'm not really faulting the company. More of a feature wish list. I absolutely love the cooker so far (have used several times), it's very easy to clean, cute, and so far of better quality than I'd expected. Definitely recommend! I'll update if I have issues.
