This was the perfect size for the type of curls I want. I was using a larger curling iron and found I was always disappointed with how my hair turned out. Then, out of the blue, I decided to try a 1/2 inch barrel and purchase this one. It works great, gets hot fast (I found I needed the glove provided the hard way, lol) and I like that it has the clip so it can hold my hair in place as I curl it. You can watch the temperature as it is heating so you know when it is ready. It has a long cord, and it swivels, which is great The curl stayed in my hair even after I brushed through it. I am so happy with the way it turned out. I didn't even have to use hairspray. So, instead of my hair feeling stiff, it feels soft and bouncy. This curling iron works very well, with the exception of the cord itself. The cord is a heavy-duty cord that is heavy and difficult to manipulate around the back of your head. It is excellent in that the heat setting is easy to read and adjust, and the iron sets the curl in faster than my old one. I just widh they'd put a thinner cord on it so that you could twist it without struggling with the heavy cord. Read more

The iron heats up quickly. Hair does not slip through the clap. My hair is short. The 1/2” curling iron creates spiraling curls for a unique look. I returned another brand as the description was correct and the clamp did not hold my short hair. I would recommend this curling iron to others for the construction, light weight, how easy it is to use it, and the quality. Read more
