Does accuracy matter?

Does accuracy matter? I bought 3 pairs of the 4.2" quick links giving me 6 total. Sold as 1/2 " Heavy Duty, pictures detail M12 which I assume referres to the thread of the coupler. I checked the thickness of the links stock which range from 11.6-11.7mm, little smaller than 12mm considerably smaller than 1/2" which technically should lower the overall strength and load capacity. Didn't affect my use, I bought to couple a tow rope with a hook, so the opening of the coupler was my focus. They all opened 1/2" to 19/32" or 12.7-15mm, description shows it should open 3/4" or 19mm. If a coupler doesn't open up enough to go over a closed loop then you can't couple. It was tight fit for my application, but it works. Fair buy on sale, which I did, main reason 4 stars, shop around when full price. I only wanted to point out some measurements for someone else where those specs matter. Read more

Great inexpensive product that gets the job done. Note that this is NOT stainless steel (e.g., 304 or 316) !! So if you see a similar product that is more expensive, that product is probably stainless steel. The black is probably more weather resistant, but still carbon steel under the black powder coat.
