I cannot speak to the quality of the bulbs, which are a great price given the number provided. I can only say they do not fit a 2001 Toyota Rav4 tail light socket, though Amazon's website said they were compatible. (You need a 7443 Bulb for that, not the 3157.) It will fit loosely inside the tail light lamp socket, and temporarily light up, but the fit is so loose it won't maintain contact, and the light goes out. Definitely not safe to use for a taillight, or reverse/brake light if the sockets are the same. Again a greal deal in terms of price/quantity, and this will probably fit well in other cars, given the positive reviews it has, but it defintely won't fit a 2001 Toyota Rav 4 Tail Light. Or, most likely, any car that shares bulb compability with that model for that specific application. (I.e., needing a 7443 Bulb.) (It seems like it just needs to be slightly thicker at the base to fit snugly and maintain a solid contact/connection for my car's tail light. But it's probable that Amazon is just mistaken, and it simply only fits other vehicles besides the older Rav4's. Or other sockets besides the 2001 Rav 4 Tail Light socket.) I did end up buyiing a Sylvania brand that did not have black plastic at the bottom, but just glass and wire, and that one did fit. (SYLVANIA - 7443 Long Life Miniature bulb.) So it's again very likely that the issue was only for my model car and specific application, not all. With 7443 the proper bulb # for the 2001 Toyota Rav4 Tail Light, not 3157. I am still giving the product 4 stars because the manufacturer reached out to me unrequested upon seeing my review, apologized for the bulb not fitting the car, and offered a refund without me even having to return the bulbs. This indicates to me a company that cares about service and their customers being happy. So I would again be surprised if this bulb doesn't fit other cars properly (especially given the other positive reviews), and It's very possible the problem lies on Amazon's end in not properly categorizing the bulb. And that it's otherwise probably just a miscommunication between the company and Amazon. I only know it doesn't fit my 2001 Toyota Rav4 Tail Light, which requires the 7443 bulb, not the 3157. (Maybe the 3157 fits one of the other sockets in the Rav4, just not the Tail light?) But if you're uncertain, at least you know this company will stand behind its product, and refund your money if it doesn't work out. So if you believe you need a 3157 bulb after doing some basic research, I'd definitely give these guys a shot, given the number of bulbs you get for the price. Because it does appear to be built the same as the other 3157 bulbs on the market, and will likely fit that application. And if it doesn't, you'll probably be able to get a refund pretty easily.
